“Big pillows=pain in the neck, but everything else was awesome!”

The hotel was pretty impressive, with expensive and tasteful furniture and an extraordinary service provided by the lovely owners of the place. The ONLY problem was that I think the mattress was made of springs and the pillows were huge. All combined made sleeping a challenge for me (not for my husband, although he noticed the springs too) and the next morning I woke up with a neck-ache that lasted a whole day. I couldn't move my head at all!

Our stay at The Inn at East Beach was a pleasant surprise. As a last minute trip, I was impressed with accommodations and service. Frank, at the desk was wonderfully helpful and friendly. Glad I found it, would reccomend it and return.

We were very happy with the Inn, the staff and our room. Large room with a great bed. Very "California" experience. We will definately return for another stay.

I was pleased with the manager enthusiastically greeted us with "It is better now that you are here"! Loved the small quaintness of the hotel, nice pool and proximate to beach and downtown. The pillows where so comfortable, I got the name of brand to buy for our beach house. We were staying with a whole group and while we couldn't congregate at the pool because of the noise levels (us not the other guests). we had fun hanging in our rooms and enjoying the fireplace. The breakfast was more than expected with real bakery fresh goods. I loved this place and will stay again. LOved Friendly Frank and his generous advice and coupons. All around nice little touches of comfort.

“Pleasantly surprised”

I looked at the area on google earth and I was not sure about the area nor the outside of the hotel. Driving into the area in getting to the hotel I found the area To be an older area however very well maintained and quiet. The hotel looked a little worn. When I entered and met Frank (hotel owner) I started to feel better about our stay. He is very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was nicely made up and the mattress was very comfortable, slept like a baby. The continental breakfast was fresh and well presented. The agreement between them and the large chain hotel across the street was very convenient. I would gladly have my family stay there. I would gladly stay there again. Thanks Frank.

“beyond wonderful hotel”

My boyfriend and I stayed in a king room w fireplace and we can't say enough good things. Frank at the front desk went above and beyond, the rooms were gorgeous yet homey, a block from a great beach, a delicious breakfast feast that is included, wonderful toiletries provided, a fireplace that keeps the place warmer at night, clean and well decorated common outdoor at areas. we will stay here again next round. Thank you to everyone at the inn!

“Wonderful Place To Park For SB Stay”

Very satisfied with my stay. Trip centered around finding my son a place to live for UCSB Grad School. Frank (owner) was friendly, upbeat & always focused on assisting his customers in any way needed. I arrived early and before my son and Frank graciously stored my bags, mapped out some great places for me to venture off to and had my bags waiting in the room for me when I returned. I loved the personal attention, the way the rooms opened up onto the pool and sitting areas, the great breakfast spread (ie...continental brkfst on steroids), the old music playing in the lobby. Room was clean, updated, comfortable. My son and I could not have been more pleased with the place. I will def book it again when I visit my son at UCSB!

I would stay again , friendly clerks, free parking, large room and most of the extras. frig,wifi, coffee and more.... I would recommend this if your looking for a simple clean place

Frank was a very generous host, as all guests will learn-- makes you feel welcome and as if you're a guest of his home... and they've done a nice job making what surely was once a typical motel into a hip little spot!
