Overall, we had a great stay. The staff were all super friendly and knowledgeable about Old San Juan. From the moment we checked in until we checked out, every request (within reason) was met. Smaller details like a free umbrella, and complimentary chocolates really made us feel valued as customers. The hotel is beautiful and well decorated with a vibrant courtyard and bright yellow walls. The rooftop pool area was also very clean and inviting with service and plenty of towels and water. The gym (located on the rooftop) was pretty small and cramped, but again, clean and maintained. Now for the not so great parts… our room was NOISY both outside and in the hallways. There were times at night where you could hear people in the hallways or entering their rooms as though they were in the room with you. The street facing the front of the hotel was blocked to car traffic, but the perpendicular street (facing one wall of our corner room) was very loud. We heard protesters, church services, people yelling, loud cars, trash pick up, and loud music at all times during the day and evening (especially the weekend) up until 10:30 pm or so. It kept us up late some nights, so be wary that you will likely not be sleeping in most days. I don’t put that fully on the hotel and to their credit they offered free ear plugs. We also attempted to rent the free bikes and they were pretty beat up and the tires were flat and needed to be pumped.

My wife and I liked it so much on our way into Puerto Rico that we returned again to stay here on our way out. Great for couples and the rooftop pool and bar were excellent. Close to lots of shopping and dining.

We are a puertorrican couple celebrating my husband’s birthday. The hotel is beautiful! Fully refurbished in the Old San Juan colonial look. The staff is polite and helpful. Our only observation is that the housekeeping service is regular, not to say, poor, came late in the afternoon and only made the bed. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay, the bed and pillows were good, and the location is excellent. Would recommend it, and hopefully will stay in the near future.

Beautiful hotel with a courtyard surrounded by palm trees and other wonderful plantings. Excellent restaurant, especially their weekend brunch. Lovely rooftop pool and hot tub with nearby bar. Walkable to all sites in Old San Juan, a most charming area. We really had a great time!

Love the area. Very clean but the pool and roof top closed really early. Also there was construction going o. Outside my window and I had to be awake really early at 5 am, I told the staff and they didn’t offer any accommodation like maybe a room not next to the construction.

The hotel and staff were amazing. The location in the heart of Old San Juan was perfect and the rooftop pool was wonderful. The only difficulty was parking - none on site. Once we figured out where to park, it was much easier, though still a little stressful during busy hours due to no guarantee of spaces. The lot we found to be best was La Puntilla: $3-5/ day, a short walk from the hotel,and on the outskirts of old San Juan so allows you to avoid driving on the labyrinthine streets of the old city. I loved our stay at La Palacio Provincial.

On a quiet street that is usually blocked off. High police presence due to proximity to US State Dept bldging and Governor Mansion. Very walkable to many attractions and restaurants.

Great place to stay in Old San Juan! The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, the room and hotel itself were beautiful and the rooftop pool and hot tub were great. Everything is max 10 minute walk from here and most things were under a 5 min walk.

Beautiful historic hotel with extensive contemporary renovations. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Roof top Atelier has a bar with food options and a dramatic infinity pool overlooking old San Juan and the ocean. I would highly recommend this property to anyone travelling on a generous budget.

Overall, we are very happy with our stay. The "adult only" aspect and the reviews attracted us most. It did not disappoint despite a few minor issues. It was an easy check-in process and our room was very lovely. The hotel is in a very desirable location with everything being incredibly easy to walk to. It was wonderful to walk around all day in the heat and come back to the rooftop pool - our favorite amenity! The hotel itself was fairly quite. The evenings you may see a lot of people at the rooftop bar, but not in the pool. During the day, there's hardly anyone up there. We were only ever one of two couples in the pool or hot tub. A few drinks in either and you are feeling on top of the world! We had inconsistent service at the rooftop bar. Our first two experiences fell flat. Skip the champagne and get a cocktail. My champagne was literally two sips. Liz was the best bartender and she said it was her first day! Top notch service with a lot of local recommendations. My only other complaint is that they did not disclose the kitchen was closed and under renovations. This was directly outside our room and quite loud. If you intend to sleep in, check on this! We were up fairly early each morning and overall did not bother us. When we checked out, they kept our bags, and we stayed at the rooftop pool for a few hours before we were ready to leave. We definitely recommend this property and look forward to staying again in the future!

The property is lovely and the staff are very friendly. However, we had issues with Housekeeping not cleaning our room for 3 days, despite speaking with them directly in Spanish on several occasions to request service. There is no parking (nor do you need a car in Old San Juan) and no food service to speak of, but all you could want is right outside the door! I enjoyed the hotel and rooftop bar/pool and would dtay there again.

Great staff would do just about anything for you. Very friendly and accommodating. Roof top pool was fantastic just don't mistake it for a swimming pool. It was very convenient in the Old San Juan area. Easy walk to just about anything you wanted. You could shop at the high end stores just around the corner or stroll down to the more modestly priced locations down the street. They were setting up for a big 3 day festival so there were cops on just about every corner. But they were very chill, just keeping an eye on things but not overly intrusive. We did not get a chance to try the restaurant in the hotel because they were just finishing up some renovations. But they opened up the roof top bar for guest. The open air court yard was really nice and comfortable. Just to sit and relax. I have to admit I did LOVE the "rain shower" shower head in the bathroom. But I think the over all best thing was the friendly welcoming staff at the reception desk. Always greeted us coning and going and excellent with suggestions if we asked about something or where to go for something.

We were disappointed with the noise as they were doing construction beginning at 8 am. It was the noisiest hotel we ever stayed in. The rooms were not clean every day unless we complained. Food was substandard, breakfast was unavailable, slow service and expensive. The hotel did not warn guest that they were going to repair a ventilation system in kitchen and started working on repairs early in the morning. Not a first class hotel and expensive
