It was conveniently located in Old San Juan and easy to walk to sites and restaurants. We stayed in the Presidential Suite which was clean and spacious. The only issues we had were with the water in the shower which went from hot to cold and back to very hot in an inconsistent and dangerous way. This room was street-side and you could hear a lot of outside noise. Otherwise, our stay was good and we liked this hotel.

Great stay in Old San Juan! Entirety of staff is kind and helpful. We had one of the suites and it was clean, roomy, and comfortable. A quick stroll to anywhere in OSJ. Use the recommended 24 hour parking and make sure you get a receipt from the front desk to give them each time you leave the garage, saves so much money.

Staff was amazing! Suite was nice we each had our on room AC is always running the building was older however still really nice and quiet didn’t run into many guests very private! Best of all everything is walkable (except the beach which is okay because it’s not far!) Lots of amazing restaurants nearby. And I’ll say it again the staff was great!

Enjoyed my one night stay at Fortaleza Suites. My only two concerns were that if you stayed on the first floor suites you will hear every conversation from the lobby. Walls are paper thin and the shower pressure was beyond low.

A great location in Viejo San Juan. Rooms are adequate and building is beautiful. Parking is near by and fairly easy to walk to. As light sleepers, we did not hear any of the street or hotel noise.

Was told El Morro was short walk. In fact it was 30-40 minutes or more on hot, very busy streets, not kid friendly and never made it in time. Old San Juan maps would be helpful. Also, appeared the suite had two bedrooms, suitable for two couples, but had only one, so was disappointing. The other two rooms we had were very nice.

We had an excellent stay at Fortelaza Suites. Very quiet to sleep. A market is a block away next to Plaza Colon where tours meet. Centrally located, can walk everywhere. Reasonably priced. We would definitely recommend!

This property was quaint in an antiquated way. Staff was nice, location very central. Liked the tile work in lobby. Beds were comfy. Did not care for how dark the ambiance of room was (no windows) and was not happy to hear people talking in lobby right outside of our room before 8am.

Fortaleza Suites was located in an excellent location in the centre of old San Juan. The room and bathroom was good, clean with a fridge, air-conditioning and tv. The shared / common kitchen was fantadtic, it was always very clean, it had for your use; coffe, sugar, ice cold water plus plates, cups, cutlery as well as toaster, kettle etc.. Most of the staff were very friendly. I lived the fact that my room was located on the ground floor, the only negative was others guest didnt seem to care about the nouse they made when coming and going. I was constantly woken by others including some that stood outside my room to have loud conversation. My stay at Fortaleza Suites was good.

This hotel was the perfect stay for me and my boyfriend. The staff were very flexible, hospitable, sweet, and knowledgeable about the area! We had the perfect time. It is right in the middle of old San Juan so it’s very walkable and if you need to get anywhere outside of old San Juan it is very easy to Uber or taxi.

We loved staying at Fortaleza Suites! I recommend utilizing the taxi service in San Juan from the airport. The rates are flat and the drivers and cars were excellent. The streets are narrow and the parking can be tricky in Old San Juan. We stayed one night at Fortaleza Suites, checked out in the am, and they held our baggage while we walked all of Old San Juan. We went back in the late afternoon, collected our bags, and walked one block East to the Taxi Stand to hail a cab back to the airport to pick up our car rental. It was very stress free and we had a great day! We will definitely be staying at Fortaleza Suites again - HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

This hotel is located on the main street (Old San Juan) they dont have parking like every other hotel in the area but they offer parking garage with $20 for 24h 2 blocks away! I recommend this Hotel if you are staying Old San Juan area.

Room was fine, but really small. Staff were great. Area hard to move around, and sidewalks are bumpy in spots. Bathroom small, but shower was ok. We had difficulty finding light switches and stuff like that, but staff were good and friendly.

If you reserve at this hotel, make sure your room is not on the first floor as staff gather at the reception morning and night and are not mindful that clients whose rooms are close by can hear everything that is said. They were loud. We had to ask them to keep quiet so we could sleep. Apart from that, it was fine.
