“Close to everything”

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in November. Excellent buffet breakfast with much variety. Short walk to Old Town, Mirabel Gardens and a bus stop a few blocks away a person wanted to venture farther out. Great shopping & restaurants on the same street as hotel. Re comfort, I thought the mattress was a bit hard but that's personal preference. The other person in the room thought it was just fine. Would definitely stay here again in winter when room windows are closed - during spring, summer and fall there would be much street noise with the windows were open and I don't think this hotel has air conditioning.

“Excellent location”

This hotel was an excellent location, 10 minutes walk from the Old Town. The room was of a good size,and warm, the bathroom bit outdated but serviced our needs, the room was clean with good beds. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very good. Would stay there again if I went back to Salzburg. The City itself is beautyfull.

“Reasonable hotel in a great location”

Hotel was in a good location, room was good (just a little hot!) and the bathroomwhilst oldish was fine. Breakfast was great, would definitely stay there again

“Good for the price!”

Clean hotel with a good breakfast. Staff were pleasant and helpful with good English. Some minor problems such as no heating (in October) and a safe we put things in and then couldn't open! However the staff sorted these upon request. 15 minute walk to old town, not bad when you consider the price. Quite good area - a couple of nice restaurants and 2 supermarkets nearby! Generally a good hotel in a beautiful city.

“Loved this hotel”

This was the biggest hotel throughout my whole stay. Very clean, reception was very helpful with directions, checking in, any request and just and overall great experience. My view was the mountains BEAUTIFUL but then again it is very hard to get a bad view from the hotel! very nice area, well within walking distance of the train station and old city. Felt extremely comfortable staying here as a solo traveller.

“very noisy road side”

The golden theaters hotel is a nice small hotel. The only complaint we had was how noisy it was. It was on a main street with a intersection close by and a rock wall across the street which Im sure the sound bounced off of. There was traffic all night long.We had no air conditioning either and opening the widow was not an option.Was a little hot for september but they did provide a huge fan that worked wonders for us.They had actual keys for the door and sometimes it was a struggle to lock the door or unlock but not that big of a deal. The breakfast was adequate and included in our price. The lobby bar was a nice place to have a night cap after walking all day.. The locaton although not in the "old town" was close enough and only a few minutes walk to old town with fortress and cathedral.Even closer to mirabell palace.

“Hotel Goldenes really met our requirements.”

Goldenes Hotel is well located easy walking distance to the old city and restaurants and shops. It is within walking distance of the station though we used a public bus on advice from the Tourist Office and easily found the hotel after a short walk from the stop. There is a good selection of restaurants and bars close to the Hotel. An excellent breakfast was served every morning in the dining room and the bar was a nice place to have a drink in the evening. Desk staff were all pleasant and helpful and spoke excellent english.

“Very Pleasant Stay”

A conveniently located hotel for all of the attractions of Salzburg. Pleasant and helpful staff who speak English. Room was clean and very quiet. Well worth it.
