Poor value for money. The room is clean but the air conditioning is freezing throughout whole property, room was very far from main area/reception and one of the pools was closed. Housekeeping didnt come until 3pm and left the floor very wet and dangerously slippery. Only one restaurant open for dinner with no a la carte option, expensive buffet only. Better options out there for similar price, wouldn't stay again.

Nice hotel and pools
The hotel is very nice and has great swimming pools. The breakfast is also excellent with lots of options I didn’t like the staff overall specially at the reception Location is also outside the city and we had trouble to park the car because there are limited spaces

Too much mosquitos
Too many mosquitos. Mosquitos bite even through clothes. They have to kill the whole moustique population in the city like in Turkish cities as Antalya. In that case mosquitos will not come back, or population of mosquitos will be low. People are obliged to go inside buildings because of mosquitos. Maybe you come for the good weather in the winter and to go outside here but they do nothing against mosquitos since own people do not live that much outside. Besides, own people cover their full body so there is no need for mosquito protection. You can wear what you want but you are obliged to cover your body to protect against mosquitos.

Overall, the property was beautiful and the options of multliple beaches were too good. Staff was very friendly. The pool was maintained well. The pool bar was the real highlight and the staff there was really good. We had issues with the room Air conditioning as it was not working well at night. Also, one of the pool was under maintenance. Dining in options could be improved.

I loved that this hotel had 3 different beaches. Cleaning staff was very friendly and so was front desk. Very kind people and food is delicious . The half board is worth it

Breakfast was very varied and everything was tasty. Room had a good view and was accessible for a range of restaurants and cafes. Common areas in the accommodation building were not regularly cleaned. The room was very damp and the damp smell permeated everything. Although Salalah in Khareef is humid, I expected that a 5 star hotel would be able to cope with those conditions better.

Pleasant!
The area around hotel and the open area of hotel was very beautiful. Breakfast was good. The reception was very kind and friendly and they cooperated a lot with me for the late checkout The only thing that could have been better was the cleanliness of Sofa and Chairs in the room, and according to the corona situation, it might have been better if there would be a hand sanitizer in the room and towels were being packed.

Really nice hotel with perfect aminities and activ
Nice rooms, nice pool, nice beach, super helpful staff and loads of activities for water sport, car rental, tours etc offered so really nothing to complain about. Only the king room didn't have a bathtub as it was mentioned herre on booking.com, which has to be corrected. Very happy with this hotel

Very new facility. The hotel has clean pool, beach and bars. The pool was always cold though, was difficult to send kids to pool in the morning, we had to stay in beach till after lunch when the sun heats up the pool. The facility also has pets for kids, rabbits, ducks, pony, etc. it was a fun activity for kids to feed and pet the animals.

We liked this property. Location was awesome. But Billiards and cycles for rent are very expensive. Would have been good if they have Indian food also other than biryani. But overall our stay was awesome in Fanar. Thank you Team Fanar for giving us a memorable holidays. See u again.

The room was quite spacious with big balcony. What i didn't like is that the ground floor rooms facing the pool are noisy and you can't really relax. Also it was funny how my room service tray with the dirty plate that i left outside the room wasn't removed for 3 days :) otherwise the facilities are really good and the staff are friendly and very helpful.

Fanar hotel is right on the beach and the staff is amazing. The hotel is under construction so many things are still being completed on the property. We went during Khareef which is supposed to be the best time but because of the weather many things were closed including the beaches and the toys to play out on the water. The waves were wonderful to watch and the weather was spectacular! The hotel was very nice and the staff was very helpful, nice, welcoming, and ready to make sure your stay was a pleasant one. They made our trip even better than expected! Customer service is top priority here and this makes them a top notch hotel. The room was very big! The shower was amazing, and the balcony looked out to the pool. Stunning scenery! The only negative was the bed...it was as hard as a rock and the sheets were scratchy. Other than that the room was very nice. We really enjoyed our stay here at Fanar Hotel in Salalah and will return.

An outstanding resort hotel
Our favorite hotel at this resort. Hotels are just buildings. What makes one special is the staff. Here is where the Fanar excels. Every single person we met treated us like an old friend.

Nice hotel but extremely chaotic in public areas, especially in restaurants. The front office staff did not speak good English. Did not expect there to be so many all-inclusive package holiday guests - shame the restaurants did not offer any a-la carte options (only buffet)

Very nice hotel
this is very nice hotel to stay in salalah and service too is very good. pool, kids play area, cycling,etc. all facilities are good in hotel. We enjoyed the breakfast as well because it have indian items also included in its menu.
