Travel at thrilling speeds or go at a leisurely pace on a bobsled-style roller coaster that blends effortlessly with the topography of the Ozark Mountains.

Race through the scenic landscapes of the Ozarks on the Runaway Mountain Coaster at Branson Mountain Adventure Park. This gravity ride was designed to follow the natural topographic features of an area of lush hills and forests. Ride alone or with a friend on the coaster for a thrilling and family-friendly activity.

Your 4,900-foot-long (1,500-meter) ride begins by being pulled in a bobsled cart on a scenic route to the top of a hill. Gravity then takes over as the track travels downhill and weaves around hillsides and in and out of spaces between tall trees. You’ll encounter chicanes, dips, hairpin bends, sharp curves and two 360-degree loops. Appreciate the views of surrounding mountains and woods, summer wildflowers, fall foliage and occasional winter snowfall.

Ride the coaster alone or enjoy the adventure with a friend or family member. Specially designed grips enable you to control the speed by pushing forward to go faster and pulling back to slow down. Thrill seekers will thrive on the opportunity to hit a top range of 25 to 30 miles per hour (40 to 50 kilometers per hour). Laid-back riders can take time to cruise around the track and enjoy the spectacular scenery.

Watch for the camera and smile, scream or close your eyes for your souvenir photo, which you can purchase at the end of the ride. Inject even more excitement into a ride by visiting at night, when a dazzling light show illuminates the track.

To reach Branson Mountain Adventure Park travel about 5 miles (8 kilometers) by car from downtown Branson. Leave your car in the large free lot for park visitors.

Runaway Mountain Coaster at Branson Mountain Adventure Park is open year round. Purchase tickets in advance via the park’s official website to avoid lines during peak periods. Lone riders must be 9 years old or above and drivers with passengers must be 16 or older.
