The area was very sketchy and unsafe, definitely did not match the online photos. There was a man out front digging through the back of his car who stared at my sister and I, causing us to feel unsafe leaving the car unattended. I checked in and when she went to move the car he then blocked her path with his car and followed her until the motel lot, sitting in his car staring at her. We did not feel safe at all and immediately returned the keys and left to get away from that man. There also were cats all over the property and the pool was green, nothing about it seemed clean.

I could hear sounds from those next door - both sides. Sound proofing would have topped off my stay. Clean and tidy. Thank you.

The property is old and run down. From the mould in the bathroom to the old faded brown duvet covers and the stains on the carpet it needs a complete overhaul. I would not stay there again.

My hosts were delightful. The room was clean and fresh and very comfortable. Being right near Central made it very easy to shop, walk into the city, go to restaurants. It was a lovely stay.

This place looked really old and cheap. The owner asked us to be careful using the kitchen countertop because it was painted and not completely dry yet!!! We booked one queen and one twin and got one double bed instead. Shortly after we arrived a cat dropped a big pile of poop on our front doormat and even the owner had it cleaned it was still so smelly and the next morning we found another small pile of poop on the same spot!! We definitely would not come back again.

Worst place in NZ by far
I don’t understand how a place in such a condition is still open and request such a price! The smell was of a stinky place, the top in the kitchen was greasy and probably not properly cleaned ever, the walls are full of mold and rotting wood…

The property was in walking distance of shops and restaurants. Rooms were clean and well furnished. The only thing we would fault is that the bed was very uncomfortable, but that is always hit and miss with motel accommodation.

Clean, comfortable bed everything in unit you could require. Great location. Disappointed hot pool was shut this should be advertised as other motels had them open under orange light. Lovely lady hostess.

There was no reminder from wotif that I had a nights accommodation booked at Rotorua at all!! New Zealand’s border is closed to me as I’m from Nee South Wales , Australia. I could no go on this trip. I have been subsequently charged for the accommodation full price!, even though I was not there

Property is close to shops and is quiet. However they did not have breakfast crockery i.e. no breakfast bowls no bread plates. Frying pan is too big I expected a smaller pan as well. No small knife to cut vegetables they only have a bread knife. No face cloth in the bathroom. Cooking with a gas stove is not my favorite thing.

Not the best area but the motel and the staff were fantastic. Very friendly and kind, they went above and beyond to make our rooms comfortable for us every day of the stay and gave us an upgrade as well. Close to shops.
