Old pleasant Inn in small village west of Ross which is kept in very good order with some nice quirky modern twists. Very helpful staff. 4 bedrooms I think. We had 2 rooms, both with very nice decor and simple furnishings were super clean with very decent bed linens and towels. The cheaper room (£40) had a separate super spacious modern bathroom located opposite the room. Top notch cooked breakfast for +£5 and available to passing trade is worth a detour. The pub itself is very pleasant (the words of my rather choosey lady friend) and is casque mark acreditted and so the ale, sample by 3 of us, was good and very fairly priced. The pub also offers 'proper' Indian food which my 'local' friends say is excellent. Ample parking. If I have to state 1 small negative it would the pub is on the A40, albeit only 2 twisting lanes, does generate some noise but I slept very very well. The rooms may also get hot in the very hot weather. Great value. Great experience. I would return for sure.
