We thought we would try to save some money in Rome and book here, thinking the previous reviews might have been off. Nope. They were right. It is not worth it.
The day before our check in, we were contacted by staff to provide our ID and credit card for the tax (which is normal) since we were arriving after the office closed (after 4pm). When the first card didn’t work (international banks), we were told we would not receive check in instructions if the €36 wasn’t paid which was ridiculous. It’s too bad they aren’t flexible, especially with such a small cost after we paid for the whole stay. And why are they only open until 4pm? Thankfully another card worked.
When we got to the hotel, there were lots of men smoking and drinking and being loud right outside the gate. It was uncomfortable and I felt very unsafe.
The patio outside was the only nice part. Our room was on the ground with a door to it from the patio. It looked nothing like the pictures advertised. It was dark and there were spots of soap left on the floor, our toilet seat was not attached, the bathroom was tiny, the headboard was broken, and our tv screen was cracked.
It was just a place to sleep, but in hindsight, wish we chose a hotel closer to the Piazza Navona, which was more central for what we wanted to see.
The lady at check out was nice and friendly, but we were happy to leave.
