An oasis in run down area. No more than a 10 minute walk to Termini station. And even shorter walk to local metro station. Approximately 10 minute walk to colloseum. Rooms are simple but well furnished. They are very clean. The only thing to bear in mind is any noise in the corridor can be hear quite clearly in the rooms. And vice versa. Staff are very friendly and helpful The breakfast was nice. I’d happily stay here again.

Lovely and quiet, though central, walkable to many of the sights. Hotel was very clean, beds comfortable. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and there was a huge choice. The only thing I found missing was decaffeinated tea or coffee. The TV reception in the bedroom was very poor, however this was a minor nuisance. Overall, very satisfied and would recommend.

Great staff, clean rooms
Great hotel, wonderful service staff is super friendly. Rooms very clean and the beds very very comfortable. Great terrace to hang out if you pick with room. Free breakfast is a huge plus. Very yummy . The only con, it had no fridge in the room. The walk to the colosseum is about 20 min . Not bad.

I thought the hotel for my B and B to be excellent value...really excellent. And in Rome I have paid more for b and b in Oban Scotland and far lower standard If you are looking for b anb hotel in Rome you should consider here

Concerted convent into a hotel. No restaurant or bar. Free breakfast was mediocre. All tile floors in room. Very basic. Location was ok. Staff was excellent. Probably would not stay again.

Quick stay in rome.
We were only here one night. Quiet room in a good location. There was a bit of confusion about getting our breakfast earlier due to an early flight. The building number and name of hotel were a bit hard to see, otherwise good stay.

Stayed here again after our tour of Italy ended. Felt safe for the 4 days either walking alone (person with visible disabilities) or with my friend. Was not approached once. Except for a stop sign lying on the sidewalk area was very clean and an easy walk to the Colosseum or other points of interest or restaurants. As I said in my last review, this is a plain property that provides a good European breakfast as part of the room rate. Sort of like an upscale college dorm. However it fit our needs perfectly and at a reasonable cost.

Stayed here before our tour was to start from Rome. Picked this place to stay based on budget for two single rooms, one needing to be accessible for me to get around with my walker. Was VERY surprised and pleased with our selection! The staff were very kind and helpful. There are stairs at the front of the building however if they open the car park doors there is a ramp to go up and a back door that opens near the reception desk. On top of that they provide a very European breakfast which for my traveling companion and I was just wonderful! We both have Celiac Disease and everyday there was a selection of gluten free products available for us to have for breakfast, in addition to the cheeses, cold cuts, fruit and tomatoes, yougurts, juice and coffees. I will definately return if I get back to Rome, other than our stay planned already for the end of the tour for us. Only downside were I use shampoo and conditioners at the places I stay. These are not provided at the Casa Helena along with there are no fridges in the rooms to keep medication cold.

Very clean, staff very helpful. The outside street was narrow and cabs were not plentiful, and there were about eight steps up to the front desk. There was an elevator inside, though, to take me to my second floor room (two stories up). It was an easy walk to the Metro and public transportation, and just one Metro stop to the train station.

This place was great. The property was extremely quiet and both the front desk staff and the breakfast staff were pleasant, helpful and kind. There was an excellent breakfast buffet. I would definitely stay here again.

Mostly perfect. Good location, friendly staff, nice breakfast... Only problem: We could not open the windows, not even the shades so we were in a dark four walled room the whole time. Could not even see the light of day.

The rooms were like staying in a hospital room. There were no functioning or stocked vending machines. Had to go out and get drinks at grocery store. There was one lady receptionist that was very nice, the rest of them acted like you were a bother. When rooms were cleaned they did not refill toilet paper. TV in the room was the size of a 19” computer monitor on the other side of the room from the bed. I would never stay here again if I went back to Rome.

Unique property run by religious group. Quiet and clean. Helpful reception staff. Excellent breakfast. Roof top terrace and veranda a pleasant surprise. My only negative is the neighbourhood: streets strewn with garbage, beer bottles on doorsteps, bins overflowing, etc. In contrast there is a lovely large park nearby.

I stayed in Rome for about 1 week while I was rounding out my Italian holiday. I think I stayed here because it was close to the train station (i.e. it's 1 stop on the metro from the main train station in Rome or a 15 minute walk). Great Location- Only 10 minutes walk from the colosseum and about a 2 minute walk to the metro station. Heaps of food options in the surrounding area and some small grocery stores in the area too. Great Facilities- The room was everything I needed. A big bed and clean bathroom. Average Breakfast- The food served at breakfast didn't seem fresh and the options were mainly packaged. I don't think it was the cooks/chef, I think the food just wasn't fresh. Even the coffee machine made coffee I could barely drink, and I love just about all coffee. I would recommend finding our own breakfast elsewhere. Overall- I'd book this place again if I stayed in Rome and recommend to friends and family.

Rooms are very simple but have all you need. Good AC, really nice and large bathroom, a few shelves, even a TV! Very quiet and the breakfast was really good! About 15 minute walk from the Colosseum. Nicer than I expected for the price I paid.
