Hotel is pretty good . Not worth $200.00 per night … Beds are not comfortable.. Breakfast is amazing… Service is pretty good . Room is small but ok . Hallways smell bad … There is a swimming pool but it can’t be used .

Right off the beach
Extremely near the beach close to great food and a nice little supermarket. Extremely fair pricing for the convenience of right off the beach.

I could have the worst experience in travelling if wasn’t the amazing team at the Ibis Hotel Barra . After so many conversations with Expedia , saying that I won’t be on time for check in and asking to hold by booking , the reservation was canceled. Was 11pm, I had 36 hours flight to get there and i was exhausted . The team was so considered and got me a room , and was so calm and nice . Wake up next day with all solved and changed me to a better room , was not a single time that they make me fell angry or upset . I would like to give 10 out of10 to the team !!!! Thank you

This was my first time being in this neighborhood. The property is directly across from the beach. It’s clean, with a great breakfast buffet. Close to public transit.

It was a great time at Ibis, the only issue was in the checkin date we have an incident with our car falling in a crater on the sidewalk, the hotel Manager guarantee us that all the car fix costs will be paid by Ibis

Reception, housekeeping good. Restaurant terrible.
Very good view. Restaurant is terrible. I recommend to other people book without breakfast. And they will not take responsibilty about restaurant problems. Other things reception, housekeeping very professional and good people.

The only complaint I had was the picture of the room was a bit misleading. It was extremely small and my travel buddy ended up having to sleep on a tiny pull out. The room was clean and the staff are friendly. If I had known the room was small and gotten a bigger room the trip would have been perfect. I still recommend though.

Covid is nice
It's a ibis like any other BUT here the management decide that covid is a good reason that the guest make now the bed for the child by his self, and the roomservice is only every other day because the virus work only every other day 😁 may be it's a good idea to give the guest the towels and the bedsheets in the lobby like in the Army. To say something good, the breakfast is worth the price and the location on the beach is great, a Uber to Rio is 30 to 40 br$

When I go to Rio de Janeiro I always stay at this Ibis unit. The location is good, excellent bed, good shower, very kind and attentive staff, good food and cleanliness.

Nice hotel located just one block from beach. Walking distance to nice bars and restaurants at Barra. It is at beginning of Barra, so not so far away from Ipanema. Friendly staff. Clean hotel.

Not a good option if you don't speak Portuguese
The hotel is what you can expect from a budget hotel. Breakfast although not included in price is really good, dinner not very much. The staff only speaks portuguese, not very friendly, service is not the best you can find, they should try to work on this matter for sure. The hotel is close to the beach, not many options to eat out. The restaurant around the corner is expensive, food is not good and again no spanish or english, only portuguese. I guess for 2 to 3 nights it's alright.

New and good looking hotel, 1 block from the beach
Everithing was perfect excelpt from wifi that didn't work for the first 2 days. It is well located (4 blocks from the town center).

Então não gostei do quarto reservado,foi diferente do qual seu aluguei, mas troquei de quarto e paguei a mais para ter um melhor conforto e uma melhor visão, sendo que não tive direito de estacionar interno, dentro de tudo pago e reservado,as enfim gostei um pouco

Very nice hotel, with a good breakfast, very good location and very gentle people in the front desk. But WiFi almost never worked properly, a couple of days they didn’t do our room and once they woke as up while we had the “Do not disturb” sign.

Tenebroso!! Sujo e fedido.
Não consigo entender até agora o motivo de ter feito essa deplorável escolha. A começar pelo atendimento, que tratam com diferença hóspedes do íbis x mercury sendo que são as mesmas instalações. Ao entrar no quarto, começando pelo corredor um cheiro tenebroso de amônia e mofo, que deixa qualquer pessoa zonza. O quarto sujo, roupas de cama com cabelos, poeira grosseira visível no quarto. O banheiro ok. Nada a queixar. Mais tarde, solicitei a noite que fosse entregue em meu quarto, eu já de pijama, um cobertor e me perguntaram “você é íbis ou mercury?” Respondi íbis e a pessoa se negou, disse que se eu quisesse, havia de descer. Quarto não tem tomadas próximas a cama, controle do ar central estragado, descolando da parede e com mau contato. E pra finalizar com chave de ouro, um café da manhã terrível, sem nada demais por 66 por pessoa. Eu quis sair correndo dessa espelunca! Nunca mais pretendo passar por essa experiência.
