No parking, though I thought there was (I guess I misread the information about this place), nearest parking was just round the corner and cost £8 overnight, i.e. 24 hours. This was recommended by the staff when we arrived, not knowing where to park. Next day I asked at nearby Waitrose about free parking and they helpfully pointed out several on-street free parking marked bays which were...

"We booked this room as we were going to a restaurant in the next village and rather get a taxi from.home decided to stay more local. The pub which own the rooms is a beautiful country pub, with good food. The rooms are immaculately kept. Clean and fresh. There are tea and coffee facilities in the room. If you need an irion you can request this. Breakfast is not included i the price, however they supply, porridge and breakfast biscuits in the room for you. I would recommend this place to anyone,...

"The arrival at The Knife and Cleaver was wonderful. Staff helped me with the luggage and room 9 was both clean and impressive. Nice seperate seating area and outside patio was a bonus in the room. Well equipped and warm. WiFi was not so good but free inside the pub. We ate at the restaurant for the two nights. Food was okay first night. Second night not so good. No atmosphere either and staff consistently just giggling or calling you guys! All in all, the hotel side of the pub was well worth...

"staff are very helpful. The food was amazing, but there is a little room for improvement on the accommodation marks on the walls. TV aerial cable draped over light fittings, and personally I would’ve liked blackout curtains as the room was very illuminated from outside lighting. but that said I would definitely stay there again. "Why do hotel designers think it is OK to have an ensuite bathroom with no door? A curtain is not an adequate replacement for a door. This was a big issue for us. Also the only seating in our room was 1 dining chair and 1 stool when there was room for something more comfortable. I don't want to have to sit on the bed, particularly at the price this hotel came in at. Everything else was very good."

"Charming village location when I booked I thought we were in st Ives town but glad we were in Houghton as did a lovely circular walk to st Ives from here. Full of character this pub was cosy and welcoming. Great breakfast too."

We were a little concerned that there may be a bit of noise from pub but was very quiet . Breakfast left in our room was great idea and good choice with milk and yogurt kept in fridge .
