“It's OK for an overnight stay”

It's all in the title, this is perfect for an overnight stay en route to your holiday destination but that's as far as it goes. The town of Reims is beautiful, it has an incredibly beautiful cathedral which just has to be viewed during your visit. I would not recomment this hotel for more than 1 night's stay, it's very cramped up and basic in terms of amenities.

“Old and yucky.”

Hotel is very close to cathedral and restaurants,staff was very friendly,lobby extremely small, rooms are too small and old fashion, furniture is also old, TV was the only modern item, bad feeling all over, bathroom was in terrible shape, door was decayed as well as the tiles, only linens were very clean, I am sure maintenance is a low priority, breakfast had just a few choices, we could not wait to get out of there. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Area recommendations
I recommend downtown, late at night there are not many choices for dinner, overall the city is not attractive,only the cathedral stands out, we stopped to spend the night on our way to Paris, thinking that it would be a nice place to spend the night, it was not.

“Champagne Convenience”

The Holiday Inn Express does what it says on the tin. It is close to the Cathedral, provides a nice comfortable room and serves up a basic but filling continental breakfast buffet. There is parking on the premises but only for about 10 or so cars and costs Euro 10 per day. The staff were friendly and someone at the reception always speaks English (and are patient and won't laugh too much if you try to speak French). The common areas are looking a bit tired, but if you are looking for somewhere to stay that is close to the centre and won't break the bank, this is a good choice.

Close to the centre - because that is where the Tourist Information Office is and where the Cathedral is.

“OK but options are limited”

A nice hotel but can be difficult to locate if driving yourself - make sure you know EXACTLY where it's located and preferably have a local streetmap. The difficulty is mainly due to one-way systems and ongoing roadworks. If you want anything from the single, poorly stocked, vending machine make sure you have change (doesn't take 2 euro coins). The room was clean, comfortable, and had a very nice bed.

Area recommendations
I would recommend staying at the nearby Holiday Inn. Much more central, better surroundings and people out and about.

“"Great location!!!"”

We stayed overnight in Reims on our way to Strasbourg. What can i say ... it surprised me...i didn't epected Reims to be so nice and hotel location is absolutely perfect!!!

“OK Stop over point”

Stopped off here on our way back from holiday for one night. Location is excellent - very central (5 mins walk to pedestrianised town centre with good choice of restaurants), 2 minutes from motorway. Fairly basic, not in the best of condition (our room had a faulty light and badly scuffed bathroom door) but perfectly adequate for the purpose, and reasonably priced. Cold breakfast buffet was good.

Gallery Lafayette nearby - fortuately we were there Sat night so the wife couldn't do any more shopping!

“Nice hotel, Great Value”

Very good location and price. The room was small, but it is France so it's to be expected. The staff was friendly and helpful and they had an ice machine which is rare. That kept our food cool on the drive to Switzerland. Close to the cathedral and main dining area. Lots of cuisine choices. Lastly, close to the highway to making it easy to go drive back and forth between Epernay.

“Good Value”

Easy to find off the freeway. Walking distance to downtown area with all the shops and dining. About 15 minute walk to GH Mumm Champagne house. Overall good hotel for the price. I would return to this hotel.

Traveller's tip
Hotel charges for daily parking kind of high. We parked right across the street from the hotel at a public lot. Car was safe and accessible. We paid less to park in public lot for 3 days then the hotel charges for one night.

“hotel de reims”

hotel tres pres du centre ville ,un avantage surtout pres de la cathedrale,du marché de noel,a pied tranquillement 10mn ,a revoir le petit dejeuner,les viennoiseries et pains ,vraiment au compte goutte,sinon un bon accueil du personnel ,je reviendrai dans cet hotel
