I liked the out-of the-way location, on a quiet side of town, sandwiched between a Cathedral and a park. It's nice to return to a quiet place after a busy day, with easy parking. Also the kitchen staff was very nice and the food in the restaurant was very good. The hotel was very clean and neat.

Our room was very comfortable. Wish someone was there that spoke English. Thought the restaurant closed at 7 pm, but that is when they opened for dinner. We enjoyed the pizza in the restaurant & the waitress did speak English & was a big help. The property itself was very nice, felt safe.

Hotel Classensis
Great location, next to basilica of St. Apollinare in Classe and not so far from city centre of Ravenna (7 min. by train or 20 min. by bus). Delicious food and lovely staff. Calm and quiet suburban area.

Rooms were not quite clean including the bathrooms. Staff members not very helpful (could be a language issue). Location was not convenient as there were no other restaurants close by. Breakfast was just ok - limited choices.

My husband & I stayed in this lovely hotel outside of Ravenna in Classe & next door to the majestic Basilica of Sant'Apollinare in Classe, a must see site. Generously sized room & bathroom, warm & clean. The staff were always very nice & super helpful. We had a delicious dinner in the restaurant, the food & service was excellent. Their homemade creamy limoncello was divine. Highly recommend this hotel to those traveling to Ravenna, the town is easily accessible by local buses & train, or car if you're driving. We would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for the entirety of the Imola Grand Prix - 3 nights. Every night I came back to the hotel I was greeted by the staff like they were my family. The room was fantastic and the restaurant was amazing as well. I couldn't have met a more caring staff. Thanks for the beer! Forza Ferrari!

Fantastic gem on the outskirts of town
Lovely, accomodating staff. I ordered dinner for my dog and they brought it to the room when it was ready. Would highly reccommend this place if you have a car and aren't looking yo be in the middle of the centro historico.

This was a wonderful, quiet and restful stopover on our trip from Florence to Venice. The room and staff were wonderful. The grounds are beautiful and right next door to the old church dating to Roman times. Also, lots of grounds to stroll or get in a good walk for a break in travels.

Charming comfortable hotel outside Ravenna
The hotel is in Classe, next to the Basilica Apollinaire in Classe. Ravenna is a 15 minute drive, but there are many inexpensive parking lots in Ravenna. We recommend the junior suite which is not expensive and is lots of fun. Two small rooms with a canopy bed. The staff is lovely, the breakfast ample and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The hotel is the stopping place for people after they have been to the Basilica, so they can handle large groups and their food is quite nice. We liked the hotel and, for the price, would highly recommend it.

wonder hotel in a historic location
I stayed here in order to visit the Basilica del Sant'Apollinare in Class. Warm welcome, great food especially the half board offer for hotel guest. Many thanks for the ride to the train station in the rain. I would stay here again and would recommend to my friends, family and strangers alike as you will be welcomed here. The bar and restaurant was full of locals, always a good sign.

Amazing hotel and excellent staff! To tell the truth, I was not an easy customer and asked a lot of things but I have seen nothing but courtesy from the staff. They helped me with all my requests. The hotel and the surroundings offers a unique experience. Highly recommended!

Professiinalità e disponibilità ad altissimo livello!!! Non mi sono mai trovato così bene in un hotel come in questo! Beppe unico nel suo genere ( consiglio vivamente i suoi paccheri all'astice ), raimondo strepitoso per la sua schiacciata burrata e mortadella. Senza contare claudio e martina come gran compagni di merenda e sigaretta! Vi consiglio vivamente di soggiornare in questo hotel !!!

Comodissimo da raggiungere in auto, a pochi metri da Sant'Apollinare in classe. Camera spaziosa e pulita. Siamo stati bene, i miei figli hanno adorato il posto. Sicuramente molto consigliato!

Personale gentile e disponibile. Camere molto piccole ma silenziose e accoglienti. Posizione ottima per chi è dotato di auto. L’ hotel è adiacente alla basilica di Santa Apollinare in Classe e a una ventina di minuti dal centro di Ravenna. Il ristorante è mediocre.

Hotel molto bello, dentro al complesso della basilica di Classe. Comodo come base per visitare Ravenna ma anche per brevi soggiorni di lavoro. Ottimo anche il ristorante con cucina romagnola.

Good stopover outside Ravenna
Quite modern hotel, room not very big but comfortable. No fridge (might have been in repair) or tea-kettle. Smallish bathroom, clean and with nice tiles. Restaurant excellent at dinner, with attentove service; breakfast poor (no cutlery, 1 plate for two, no napkins, mainly (albeit nice) sweets.

Zwischenstopp nahe Ravenna
Ruhig gelegen ein paar Autominuten vom Zentrum Ravenna entfernt. Soweit alles in Ordnung. Paar Sachen finde ich verbesserungswürdig: Toilettenbrille mit Sprung, ziemlich hell im Raum durch gewisse Anzeigen von Steuergeräten (Klima, Hotelkartenstecker, Fernseher), nur Laken und einfache Wolldecke im Schrank (hier hatten wir selbst eine dünne Daunendecke dabei). Da wir nur zum Übernachten da waren kann ich nur sagen dass der Empfang und Checkout schnell und unkompliziert verlief.

Das Team um Claudio ist total Gastfreundlich. Hotel und Restaurant in ruhiger Lage.Essen im Restaurant sehr gut und Preis Leistung stimmt.Die Bar ist gut sortiert und Claudio ist ein perfekter Gastgeber. Das Zimmer war sauber und hatte ein super Bett. Dusche optimaler Wasserstrahl. Frühstück sehr gut und der Kaffee Top. Das Hotel Classensis ist ein Geheimtip. Grazie Claudio & Team.
