Checking in at the Pennington (you have to for this property) was easy to do. Staff very friendly. Accomodation was clean, bright, warm with great views. Would book again.

The room was large and perfect for me and my dog having direct access to the yard! And despite being above the pub, there was no noise. The only downside is it is a bit tired looking and could do with a lick of paint. Also despite being 'dog friendly' and they don't tell you this, but they charge £10 per night for your dog. However i do recommend this room and would definitely stay there again!

Great view but wind noise is loud.
This is not a hotel, it is a separate room over a pub, which does not manage the room. Access is up a set of outside stairs in the untidy back yard of the pub. Breakfast is in another building, the Pennington Hotel. Staff there were very helpful and friendly. The room is very large, and the view from the windows is wonderful. However, the windows don't fit properly so there is very loud wind noise, which interferes with sleeping!

AMAZING!! 2 nights in the suite which was huge and luxurious with to die for views of the estuary. Breakfast was extensive and gorgeous. Staff went over and above. Cannot recommend enough!!

Fantastic for a quiet weekend
We decided to go away for a weekend break. We were looking for something quiet so we could relax. The room is fantastic, such a great size, and similarly the bath room is amazing. We really enjoyed it and would go back.

Inn at Ravenglass
The room was comfortable, well presented and decorated, cleanliness was to a good standard. The check-in was done at the near by Pennington Hotel, which was quick and easy. Our evening meal and breakfast was at the sister hotel Pennington which was very close, the food was fantastic and the service was even better, really enjoyed our stay it was short but memorable, the location was beautiful loved walking on the front and the quietness of the village.

Don't judge from outside
The outside of the Inn is dreadful, run down and not inviting. However, the room is the complete opposite, great condition, clean and comfortable. The food at the hotel down the road is great and reasonably priced.

Due to a trip on steam railway with afternoon tea we needed to stay overnight before to avoid any possible motorway delays and for the day to be fresh. Room had double aspect view over estuary, although bar not reopened following lockdown sister hotel only 50 yds along the road also very good breakfast at sister hotel.

Positives: very pleasant stay with dinner and breakfast in the suite. Spacious, well decorated, clean and tidy. Great views over the estuary. Large bed. Huge bathroom with separate bath and shower. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent and good value with excellent service Negatives. Not many. Breakfast ingredients were maybe not of the highest quality, though perfectly adequate. Tea and coffee in the room could be a little better, perhaps a coffee pod machine, small fridge for fresh milk, better tea selection etc. Also, blackout drapes at the windows would help. Having lots of windows to make the most of the expansive views is great, but on the flipside it makes for lots of light coming through the roller blinds in the morning. Would happily stay again.

We stayed in the Executive Room. Nicely decorated, stylish and very clean room and bathroom. However the shower cabin was very small, and there was no fridge in the room. The service at the bar was terrible. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco and the waiter just put in on the table without opening the bottle! Friendly staff, except the check-in and bar stuff. They were very unwelcoming and rude, they made us feel like we were not welcome. Therefore I would never stay here again!

It was clean, nice and recently refurbished! The view from the window was breathtaking! The only downside is the restaurant in its sister hotel next door - the service wasn't great and we were charged double by mistake for the drinks (and that wasn't refunded), so I would recommend avoiding the restaurant

Pleasant room, clean and tidy, access to the property and general condition needs to be improved, basic tidying would go a long way... the staff are great, the bar maid brilliant, and plenty of local banter in the bar adds to the welcoming atmosphere.... but Management need to go further and invest more in their hotels to improve the overall quality and experience. For instance a choice of room at the inn would have been good and breakfast needs vast improvement, menus don’t have any basic allergy information, food items look like they are from cash and carry and basic presentation would go a long way.

A must
The Inn is an amazing place. Lovely room, spotlessly clean and great location with priceless views. The rooms are spacious and have an iron, ironing board and tea/coffee facilities. Down starts is a fab pub with a good selection of ales and wines. We have been before when they served food and you will not get fish and chips anywhere like it. Amazing. Would highly recommend and will defiantly be returning.

The room was gorgeous and ths staff are so friendly. We were made to feel very much at home. The only slight critiscm is that the wifi did not work. The breakfast at their sister hotel was nice with great service
