spacious bright apartment but......
The owner was very friendly and met us on the day of arrival although it was all very rushed - it felt like we we had walked in just as someone else had left as the towels in the little toilet were not clean and some of the towels were a bit smelly and I had to wash them
The apartment is very well equipped although there were some dirty utensils in the drawer
We found that the apartment does needs aircon in order to be comfortable in - we knew it did not have air con but had been reassured that the fans would be ok, they were noisy and did not help at all and it was very hot at night and we couldn't open any windows at all due to a mosquito problem - we had so many bites we couldn't count them - we were constantly battling them before bedtime - we only had this problem when at the apartment
The balconies were cluttered/dirty and very small apart from the one off the living room but this overlooked a builders yard which we had not been warned about and would have put us off booking as we felt we couldn't sit out and eat or have a drink due to the awful views and noise
The 2 bathrooms are actually one bathroom and a toilet as the 2nd one is so small and had old soap and cleaning items around the very tiny bath that we wouldn't have used it so we felt restricted with 2 teenagers to using one bathroom which was not what we had expected on booking an apartment with 2 bathrooms
The 3rd bedroom was tiny with no fan so would have been too hot to sleep in , there was no actual bed in there only a futon - when I booked I was led to believe there were 3 single beds - there were 2 single beds with a sofa bed in the living room and the futon as mentioned
The Wi-Fi was very poor and we were asked only to use it for downloading emails etc as we might be charged if tried to download anything like a film- this was annoying for teenagers who had requested wifi and this should be made clearer
That said- Rapallo is amazing and we would recommend it to anyone , the apartment was spacious and modern and cheap by comparison to others in area and was a good base, supermarket was at the end of the road and walk into centre took a few minutes
no guaranteed parking for residents which we had be warned about so had expected that we might have to move the car but we were lucky
Had this been a hotel booking we would have asked for a refund as we felt quite stressed about the above mentioned things - we didn't complain at the time as we didn't want to ruin our hol
