“Great room and very comfortable”

My husband had to have surgery and we stayed at the Duke University Inn, it was clean and comfortable, it was nothing fancy but it was livable. The staff was great help and everything we needed was in walking distance. We will stay there again when my husband has a second surgery and has his treatment. I would give this hotel a 10. The let us check in before my husbands appt time so we could get some rest.

Durham Duke Hospital area, it was clean and had eating areas within walking distance. The people were very polite and nice and the neighborhood was very nice.

They have a little mall about 2 city blocks from the hotel that has great restaurants and the atmosphere was awesome and it was a nice little walk.

“Absolutely adequate”

Nothing more, nothing less. Does the job. Can't really walk from there to anything except the hospital. Staff are variable, sometimes nice but not very well informed.

Jumbo room very large and can accomodate a family who is visiting Duke hospital. Staff is kind and curteous.

“A good place to stay if one needs to be near Duke U Hospital”

This hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is not much - just the basic pastry, cereal and bagel. There's no fruit or real milk for coffee. However, our room was equipped with a microwave oven and small refrigerator; therefore, we could buy our own breakfast foods at a store and prepare them in our room. In all, our stay there was very pleasant, and we would certainly book a room in this hotel again.

“good location if need to be near duke medical facility”

The room was nice but the facility is definitely bare bones. there are no amenities. however, it is located right at the hospital and this is very convenient for that. Staff was helpful with getting cabs, printing out boarding passes and recommending restaurants. I did not rent a car, however there was free parking. there is no restaurant, bar or pool but that meant it was very quiet at night. there were no kids running up and down the halls. bed was very comfortable, there was plenty of hot water. (friends at another hotel did not have a good shower) no problems with the room...very reasonably priced and a good location. I was there on the weekend and it was filling up monday morning when i checked out. Oh, i almost forgot. there are no mysterious "resort" fees.

this neighborhood was good. I felt safe as a single travelor and walked around. I found a nice place to get a mani pedi and the cab drivers were most helpful and very professional.

“Served its purpose”

The hotel had everything I needed- it was close to campus, had a small breakfast and the room was clean. It was by no means high end but sufficient for the price and location. I would definitely recommend it again to someone who might not want to pay a great deal.
