I love this modern, well decorated hotel, very close to the main square and to the pedestrian Jiron Kima, with pkenty of restaurants, cafes, pharmacies, ice cream shps etc. Staff was very professional and friendly, willing to make our stay the best experience. They booked for us the transport to Juliaca airport and carried our suit cases to the minibus. The only limitation is that the hotel street and the adjacent Jiron Lima were pedestrian only. That was not a real inconvenience since tours'operators sent someone to pick us from the hotel and 2 or 3 blocks where the bus or minivan was stationed. And we left for Juliaca airport, the hotel staff carried our suit cases to the minivan that would take us to the airport. Great breakfast buffet, with fruit, scramble eggs, different options to make a sandwich. Granola, yogurts, natural juices. oatmeal etc etc plus coffee, and different teas and infusions. I strongly recommend this hotel that provides excelent service for a budget friendly rate. I found then via Expedia, like all the rest oh hotels in this 3 week trip.

Tierra Viva Puno Plaza is a really nice hotel. Centrally located. The staff are so helpful and welcoming. They gave us options about how to get to the port as well as good dining options. Also, they called our room when our taxi arrived. The room was clean, safe and quiet.

Nice hotel just off the main square. Be prepared that taxi can not park outside. Lovely room hot water clean quiet chocolates and good breakfast. 2 night stay to go to lake titicaca would recommend.

We liked this property for their location - close to main square, good dining options and walkable to many things. Staff and service was excellent. Breakfast spread was decent and staff would go above and beyond. Extremely helpful. I would give them 5 stars.

Tierra Viva Puno Plaza Plaza is an outstanding hotel that I highly recommend. The hotel staff is welcoming and helpful. The room was very comfortable (the bed has nice linens, the bathrooms are well supplied, large tv, and windows that open). When I returned to my room in the evening the bed was turned down (chocolate on the pillow). and the heater was turned on to warm up the room). At check-in, you will be provided a breakfast menu (you are given ample choices). You pick the time you would like to be served in the dining area. The breakfast was well-prepared and delicious. You will enjoy your stay Tierra Viva Puno Plaza.

Staff was kind and attentive. They stored our luggage while we spent an overnight on Lake Titicaca and when we returned it was in our room waiting for us. Great water pressure in the shower. Excellent location near the main square and street.

Great hotel, horrible parking
The hotel was great! The location was perfect and very easy to walk around Puno. It was my friend’s birthday when we stayed there and they brought him a cake to celebrate without us even asking, it was a very thoughtful touch. The only issue with the place was the parking. The parking lot entrance is narrow and the street is too, so it’s very difficult to get into the lot and I ended up scraping my rental car’s side all along the gate. There were lots of open parking spots but they forced me to park in a very narrow spot up front wedged between a car and a leaning post, which then scraped up the other side of the car. The damage to my rental car was $500 because the parking lot is so poorly designed and maintained. Hotel itself was wonderful though.

Don't hesitate to book this superb hotel
Amazing hotel. As I've travelled around I have found fault with most hotels but not this one. It is in a good location, probably less than a minute from plaza de armas, one of the main squares. It is close to restaurants and shops but still quiet at night, which is great. It is very clean, lovely white towels and plenty of them. A good selection of toiletries and 2 toilet roll holders!! A proper, powerfulhair dryer not the ones in the bathroom. Blackout blinds. Portable radiator. Pen and paper. Chocolates on arrival . Full length mirror. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety including fruit, cereal, yoghurt,eggs bread etc. Staff were always friendly and helpful and one cold night when I came back I found that they had kindly turned down my bed left a chocolate and put the heater on so thoughtful and much appreciated.

This was without a doubt, the most fantastic hotel stay I’ve ever had. It was my birthday, and the hotel BOUGHT ME A CAKE!! It was absolutely amazing. I can’t thank the staff enough. They helped us print visa documents; they let us check in VERY early and did I mention they BOUGHT ME A CAKE?! Everything was amazing. I’d return to Peru for vacation just to stay here. Just stay here if you’re in Puno. The staff are wonderful.

Puno is a pretty small and industrial city. The area around the main square is more touristy The hotel is just at the square and also around the Main Street with food and shops The rooms are decent sized and have a nice furnishing to it. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom has hot running water and strong too There is also an oil heater to keep it nice and toasty if you need it The staff are very friendly and the breakfast are yummy. Combo of hot food like eggs and sausages and also fruits (local) and also local bread Hot coffee and tea on tap which is nice Cute dragon and tapestry furnishing all around the hotel Love it

The property ia centrally located just a block from plaza del armas of Puno. It is easy to access the local shops and restaurants. The hotel is really clean and very well equipped with good bath shower and amenities. The bed is extremely comfortable and there is an oil heater for extra heat (it gets cold in Puno at night) The staff is really friendly and there is cute quirky art of dragons around the hotel The breakfast provided is great and we enjoyed it. A selection of fruits and also cooked food like omelet and also sausages. Plus the usual continental breakfast of cereal and local bread Definitely recommend this place

I really have to say that I review many hotel offers and for me the comments of the people who have visited the place are important. I must say that this place is very, very good, nice, clean, with an excellent location and most importantly, genuine people, respectful and always willing to collaborate. They really are a family that opens the doors of their property to you and they care about you. Thank you and I hope they never change. I highly recommend this hotel. Real thanks to Albert and Santos for taking care that my stay was the best. Great place to stay while in Puno, great location and staff. Breakfast was great! We had to deal with a lot of future travel details while staying at this hotel twice and the staff were incredibly helpful both times. It is a 1/2 block off the main road Lima. Would stay again while in Puno!

Thus hotel was a great choice. The Tierra Viva Puno is in a great location- just one block off of the Paza de Armas. I particularly enjoyed the powerful shower. I travel in Latin America a great deal, and I think that that was the best shower that I have ever had. My clients all had the same experience- so it wasn't just in my room.

I love how they have filtered water available instead of bottled water - so much more eco friendly. They also had a lot of amenities that we ended up using - printer to print bus tickets, lemon candy at the front desk, water to fill up water bottles, and more. Breakfast and location was great.
