“Exceeded Expectations”
As might be expected from a converted convent some rooms are a bit distant. The corridors are wide and the lifts efficient. Our room was simply furnished but comfortable and clean. The hotel was uniformly clean and showed no signs of wear. The reception staff all spoke excellent English and were courteous and helpful. The free coffee and tea in the reception hall was excellent. Overall as good an example of a 3*+ hotel as you could wish to find and we would certainly use it again if it maintains this standard.
“Great hotel, fantastic location.we will be back!”
Really enjoyed stay at hotel, fantastic location for everything, including CP1 bistro at end of road.Room was lovely, nice big shower ,comfy bed and when I asked for flatter pillows they were there the same day.Staff were really helpful and pleasant. No hot drink making facilities in room, but in foyer tea and coffee machine for guest use, lovely when you get back after walking round.we were still able to get a drink at 11:30pm.Just a word of warning everywhere is cobbled, roads and pavements so take sensible shoes for walking round in.
“Great hotel all around!”
The CLoister Inn had super friendly staff that were willing to help us with any questions we had. It was very clean and they offered free coffee/cappuccinos in the lobby all day everyday. The breakfast was good enough for me. I had toast and hard boiled eggs every morning with some meats like turkey and ham. When we first got there we thought we were so lucky because we found parking right in front of the hotel and we hadn't called beforehand to make a reservation for parking. When we went inside we were told that was for permit parking only and we had to find a spot on the street for public parking. These roads are cobblestone and narrow, nothing like in the US. It took us about a half hour to find parking! we had to park 5 minutes away from the hotel. The receptionist was nice enough to let us make a reservation for the following night in case someone in the hotel was checking out with their car. The following day we were able to move the car into the courtyard of the hotel. If you will be going to this hotel with a car, make sure you make a parking reservation with them! It will make it a lot easier!
“great location, friendly service - not bad for a secret police headquarters”
Great location. Clean but basic rooms. Used to be a convent then the headquarters of the secret police - still looks like a police station. Friendly, hepful, english speaking reception staff. Good breakfast buffet for the price. Free internet access and tea/coffee in reception. Very good value overall.
“Clean and friendly front desk staff”
The hotel Front desk staff were bilingual and very helpful
“Happy customers”
We were very satisfied with this hotel - comfortable, clean, friendly staff, quiet street but really close to Charles Bridge & other places of interest. Added bonus of excellent Vegetarian restaurant 5 mins away. We were there to celebrate my 60th birthday, & although nothing had been mentioned to the staff, someone must have seen my cards in our room & we returned in the evening to find a bottle of wine & a note wishing me a happy birthday. That was a lovely touch & most unexpected. Would highly recommend.
“Would go back to the Hotel. Very Pleased with the amenities and level of cleaniness. Location was v”
very satised with the amenities. Location was excellant. Cleaniness levels were very good. Security was excellant we felt very safe at the Hotel.
“Straight forward, clean, no frills hotel”
A straight forward, basic hotel which is perfectly good value for money. It is in a quiet but convenient street very close to the Charles Bridge and the Old Town Square. Nearly everything is within walking distance. The hotel is very clean, everything works, the showers are excellent but the beds are hard. The breakfasts (included) are plentiful but the quality adequate. The staff at the desk are delightful and very helpful. The hotel is warm but not "cosy" . It is absolutely fine if you are sight seeing all day and eating or going to a show/concert/ opera by night.
“Great hotel & service”
Hotel was in walking distance to the Old town & the bridge (5 mins ?). Large hotel with 24hr reception which was great when coming in late! They were kind enough to leave a little bottle of red for my boyfriends birthday too. complimentary drinks are some water and a beer - better than nothing :-) The room we had was large - 2 rooms in fact, one with the bed and the other with the wardrobe, tv and desk. Breakfast was good enough - toast, cereal, fruit, boiled eggs & sausages. Prague is a lovely place to go and the hotel was lovely too.
“Good hotel, great location”
Good hotel, booked on basis of location (which was perfect for the old city - just far enough out ot be quiet, but only a few minutes walk to the centre). Staff are very helpful and quickly responded to any requests for assistance. Only gripes were minor: breakfast isn't brilliant (although there is a fair range of choices given the room price); wifi access varied between erratic and non-existant (really struggled for a signal in the room); and welcome minibar is a little meagre - one beer between two - it would have been better not to have bothered at all. Otherwise, great location and very good value for money.
