We only stayed for one night after a really fantastic rail journey from Dingwall. Hotel was very nice. The staff very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and well presented and had everything we needed. We had a nice meal in the restaurant in the evening and breakfast was good too. All in all a very pleasant stay. Thank you.
Location good but don't expect much in Achnasheen itself. Generally a quiet hotel with only 12 rooms. Initially tried to give us a double despite having booked a twin room but overall room was as expected. Decor dated and not much power in shower. Heating on far too much throughout hotel for the September temperature. We slept with windows open after turning radiators off. Breakfast good and decent stocked but small bar. Ate once there in evening but quite expensive. Enjoyed the September sun on arrival and able to have a few beers out on the picnic table outside. Great store in Kinlochewe lent us some boots for the day after one of our party forgot his ! Good base for Torridon mountains (30 mins away) and we then went up to An Teallach on way to Ullapool

We arrived late at night because of a traffic accident. ''Ailey'', the manager, waited up for us and opened the pub. She made us feel very welcome. Enjoyed both breakfast and evening meals. It was nice to return to the Inn and have dinner after a long day of touring. Staff members reflected the fine hospitality of the manager.
this is a converted family house perched right on the water, with amply extra rooms, places to sit, and quiet all around. there is little in the village, and not much activity at sea. the hotel is well run and the staff are courteous. a good base for exploring the western highlands. far far better than the hotels run by large chains, such as Hilton.

Neville and Sonia were the perfect hosts. My husband suggested that they hold workshops on how to run a BandB.
Their home is warm and inviting, and the breakfast was the best we've had while staying in Scotland. Neville gave my husband and son a thorough tour of his wood turning studio, and then some fabulous suggestions on the best scenic driving routes. Sonia was delightful and made our stay truly memorable. Stay here if you get the chance!
