Awesome Resort Highly Recommended!!!!

Posted 27-Jun-2015
Pros: Size of the room and location to the beach, restaurants, rentals and tours
Cons: Our bathroom tile was slightly chipped and my partner cut his toe it but they apologized and offered to change our room and left us a delicious fruits
I used Expedia to find several resorts and Avista won because of its facilities and location. The room was huge and the pool bar was a great time. Didn't have the chance to use the gym but it was very nice. We spent time playing ping pong and pool in the game room. Out front are scooter rentals and just down the hill is a cool pop-up shop that sells tours. And the lady that works there was super awesome. Yes, the hill to the hotel is quite steep felt like 45-degrees at time but it was worth it when we got to the hotel room.

Rapport qualité prix médiocre

Posted 25-Jun-2015

What a awesome resort!

Posted 10-Jun-2015
We just stayed here for 9 days and what a awesome place to stay! We loved every minute of it The front office staff where very friendly and helpful, the cleaner that came to clean our room everday always had a big smile on her face, the pool was great and our room was more than we could have asked for (club avista) we were on the top floor with a sea facing view. The only downside was the hill that its on although i enjoyed walking up it my girlfriend didnt. This is no big issue at all as there are taxis and tuk tuks or scooters for hire right infront of the resort. The restraunt food was good although a bit expensive as to be expected. The buffet breakfast was so good! I dont know what people are complaining about! Will definitely be returning to Avista!

Beautiful hotel and Kata beach is a great beach! The only recommendation I can make to the hotel is that the bathrooms need to be updates.

Nice hotel with kind staff and delicious breakfast

Posted 22-May-2015
Cons: The bed sheets are a little wet, maybe it's because of the weather but still quite comfortable.
Location: Have a street with shops and restaurants, very good.
Overall very good hotel. I stayed there for 3 nights. Great wifi (about 5Mbps up and down speed using speedtest). The receptionist girl is very kind and outgoing. The swimming pool is very good.

Location: Rent a bike just outside the hotel lobby.
Guests must go to the roof top bar and enjoy the stunning sunset view which the staffs hardly mentioned.

Good Location, Friendly Staff, Great Choice

Posted 12-May-2015
My girlfriend and I stayed for 5 nights in a deluxe room on the 4th floor. The location is perfect if you are looking for somewhere quiet to relax. 10 mins walk from Kata beach, 25 minutes walk from Karon beach. There are gift shops, restaurants and massage parlours close by. The hotel is new, clean and modern. The staff were first class, friendly and helpful in everything. The room was tidy and spacious with a nice veranda with lush greenery outside. The pool area is clean and looks as good as the photos. We visited the food markets & did the Thai cooking class with a chef at the hotel, Mr. Towchay. He was very kind and friendly and it was a lot of fun! There is a special event on the roof of the restaurant some nights with Thai dancing and special food, I highly recommend asking about this, it was the highlight of the trip, excellent value. I recommend spending the money to get the hotel shuttle bus from the airport direct to the hotel, it's not that expensive but we tried to save money by going with a cheap option on arrival and it was a stress, especially after a long flight. You can arrange the shuttle direct with the hotel.

Great Hotel Near the Both Kata and Karon Beach

Posted 06-May-2015
Pros: I liked the staff. They were very accommodating and completed all our requests.
Cons: I feel that there should be more shuttles to Patong. The shuttle was great but we wished it came more often and at different times.
Location: Located near Kata beach. Tons to do. Plenty of souvenir shopping, restaurants, convenience stores down the hill.
This hotel was in a great location near both Kata and Karon beach. Kata beach was a 5 minute walk and Karon beach was a 15 minute walk from the hotel. The only bad thing about this hotel is its location at the top of a steep hill. My party had no problems walking up and down this hill since we are fairly young and not obese. You are able to walk to a lot of restaurants and bars from this hotel. Hotel itself was great. Nice accommodating staff.

Dichtbij het strand, rustige locatie

Posted 04-May-2015
Pros: locatie, vriendelijk personeel
Location: strand is super dichtbij

A Lovely Experience

Posted 03-May-2015
Pros: The pool area, the breakfast buffet and the spacious rooms
Cons: Softer bed and pillows. Cleaner shower stall...between the tiles in the corners were not clean enough. It would have been nice to have some drawers.
Location: Shopping, many restaurants, beaches, motor bike rentals, convenient store
My husband and I stayed at the Avista for 5 nights and had a very pleasant experience. This is a very pretty hotel with a very cozy feel. It is in a good area with lots of places to eat and shop. The beach is about a 10 min walk. We rented a motor bike and visited all the beaches in the area, Kata, Kata Noi and Karon. Our favorite was Kata Noi. The rooms are very spacious, but we found the bed and pillows too hard for our liking. The bathroom is very attractive. The pool area is lovely with lots of greenery. The breakfast buffet was very good and the staff very efficient and polite. We had dinner in the restaurant two nights, when they had entertainment. The food was very good and so was the entertainment. The restaurant manager, Ale, was very gracious...super nice! We were very happy with massages we had at the spa, that is located just off the pool area. Just wanted to mention that the hotel is located on top of a steep hill. So if you have bad knees or you are elderly it could pose a problem for walking. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
