From the setting of the place I can imagine that the place once had a nice atmosphere, alas now it seems that it succumbed to the ugly side effects of crowd- (for not saying mass-)tourism.
I got a quiet room tucked away from the famed river which was as well since there was a noisy crowd present those days.
The room was very basic but airy with high ceiling. The problems started with the hot water not working properly and the toilet being blocked.
When I told that to the staff next morning during breakfast I had the impression that she will have forgotten it 5 minutes later, so just to make sure I told it to another staff-member, hoping that it would be repaired when I came back in the evening - useless, nothing was done.
About the breakfast buffet, it seems nice at the beginning but it was spoiled by the fact that everything, from bacon over noodles to fried eggs, was just cold, obviously hours prepared in advance. The next day they put little flames under the boxes where they kept the foods but those went out after 5 mins, so only if you were lucky you could get a little bit warmer food.
The staff itself was friendly although it seemed a bit of an automated friendliness (crowd-tourism!) and as soon as you deviate just a little from their expected script you'll find only confusion.
Last, you charge quite high prices for what you offer, please higher your standards a bit accordingly; for example a small fridge and a kettle in the room would not be too much to ask, I think.
