The NY B&B is a cheerful, conveniently located, inexpensive choice of lodging in the attractive seaside town of Pescara. Just a few blocks from the beach and equally close to the main shopping district and the train\bus station, it is one of two B&Bs with the same attentive owners.
My room, on the second floor, included a private balcony, which I greatly enjoyed. The breakfast room is self-serve, with all necessary items stocked and a frig and cooking utensils for any who would wish to cook meals or provide their own "happy hour."
Recommendations for two excellent fish restaurants within walking distance, both of which offer special rates to B&B guests.

This gem of a hotel was exactly what I was looking for. A short walk to family members who live in Pescara, the beach and shops on the south side of the river tucked away on a quiet street. A tranquil retreat for those familiar with the city. Knowledge of the language is recommended for those visiting Pescara. Do follow through with an email directly to the hotel after booking and let them know your specific needs. A bottle of wine awaited us as a Christmas gift upon arrival.

We were travelling from Como in the north to Ostuni (Puglia) in the south and needed a one night stop off. Hotel Maja was great. They accommodated our Siamese cat without any fuss. We had a room facing the sea with a balcony. The weather was atrocious, but in the summer it must be lovely. Breakfast buffet was excellent.

I loved most everything about my stay here except the noise level. It is only a short walk from central station. The staff is most accommodating. The breakfasts have something to please everyone and the dinners have been from good to excellent. But it is a bit noisy. I often hear water running in my third floor room, as if I am next to the laundry. You also have the car traffic and street cleaners at night, some nights louder than others. But I would book again.
