“Not bad”
Nice hotel, rooms clean restaurant new and modern
“It did the job, but I wouldn't go back.”
The Travelodge Perth needs a facelift but otherwise ok.
“Was great with a few things that needed changing”
We booked into the Perth Travel Lodge on line picture only seen. The Perth Travel Lodge's first impression from the outside and the foyer was impressive and the first person we met inside named James was very friendly and receptive. We were told our room would be ready soon and James organised for us to stow our luggage in a secure room. Our room was very nice, well presented and fresh. The only thing lacking in the room was a table to sit at for a morning coffee with my partner. This would have been good. The maintenance of the room was daily, however I did have to ask for clean towels. The person making the bed, only drew it up, the sheets and blankets were still somewhat crumpled, however it was always well presented upon our return and on the first day the bins had not been emptied. All other days after I had asked for clean towels, they were there and the bins were emptied. We were there for 4 nights, and we ate dinner in their restuarant 3 nights and had 4 breakfasts there too. Our package included the full buffet breakfast and the food and selection were excellent. The dinner choice was impressive and the meals that we chose each evening were very tasty and well presented. Very good service and I recommend the Salt n Pepper Squid. YUM. Over all I would say that our next visit to Perth we would again stay there as the parking was good, pay during the day, free at night. Thank you Perth Travel Lodge for an overall great stay. Thank you Katriona and Dave
“Can't complain”
Good hotel, good location, good value for money, ok service. I have stayed here 5+ times and it's always consistent, I wouldn't compare it in the same league as most 4-5* hotels but if you're travelling on a budget you can't go past the Travelodge. The food is very good too!
“Quiet location yet close to attractions”
Very friendly and helpful staff. Building looked exterior looks a bit dated but inside was recently refurbished. Fast elevators. Free newspapers at reception. Didn't use gym or restaurant. Rooms were spacious (ie 2-3 times the size of a European hotel room). Room was clean, bathroom impeccable. Only shampoo, conditioner and soap are provided in bathroom. Very minimal noise. TV aspect ratio as in all hotels was wrong. Doesn't bother me but boyfriend doesn't like it! There are a few cafes and convenience stores and a small supermarket on the next block and the start of the mall about 3 blocks. It's a short walk and walkable even in extreme heat! Otherwise the red line of the free inner city bus is directly outside the hotel entrance which takes you to the mall, the train station and connects with the other inner city buses. They come every 6 minutes. We also walked to Northbridge and the Mint is just a block in the opposite direction and the Barrack Street jetty isn't far either for ferry's to Rottnest, South Perth etc. The only problem we had was that on our first afternoon a few hours after checking in a slow leak started through the ceiling (turned out to be from the air con). We reported it. A porter came quickly and said we would be moved. We had to pack up everything and then waited for another room to be prepared which took quite a while. Once settled in our new room we had a peaceful stay.
“Good location”
The room was clean and relatively quiet. Good water pressure. Hotel staff were very polite and friendly. The fitness room was small but clean and had an ok range of machines and weights. The breakfast buffet was pretty expensive but you had a choice between three levels: toast and coffee, continental or full cooked. Parking was an issue because there was no parking on site. There was pay parking on the street or in covered or uncovered lots a couple of blocks away but that was quite expensive.
“Nice hotel, but no car parking facilities.”
Convenient location and comfortable room. No car parking facilities available, and street/car parking very inconvenient.
“Don't bring a car to this hotel”
The hotel is pretty bare bones but reasonably priced and there was nothing wrong with my room. My big beef with this hotel is parking -- there isn't any. Parking out in the street is limited time only. There is a parking lot about 100 m away across the street where you can pay an hourly or daily rate but it's hit or miss as to whether you can get into it. Also, if you try to pay for a whole night you can't -- the ticket always expires at 3am. I stayed at this hotel 4 days and the ongoing problems with parking my rental car was a real headache.
“you get what you pay for!”
Went toPerth for a wedding stayed 4 nights. Unable to secure accommodation in a high star rating hotel. Travel Lodge was only avalaible will not be back..The hotel is very old and need some work... No car parking on site..... Breakfast average. Resturant not open for lunch on weekends and no bar to sit and relax. The room is small and not clean with dust and dirty grout in the bathroom. The location was OK a 15 mintue walk to the CBD. We upgrade to a balcony room for a small fee which I dont think made any difference still small. Free bus service out the front to get around the city was the only highlight.
“Will definitely stay again”
The helpfulness and friendliness of all the staff was exceptional and made our short stay very memorable.
