“Not bad for Perth”
Perth is a very dull city, but at least the hotel sometimes kept its bar open beyond the 10pm city limit. The restaurant food was slightly above average. The staff were helpful. Taxis usually were outside or came within 5 minutes. Ethernet but no WiFi in room.
“Disappointing and not value for money”
Hotels in Perth are currently relatively expensive, but even allowing for this the Perth Mercure did not provide value for money. The hotel is within 10 minutes by foot of the main shopping area and the ferry terminal, but suffers from being across the road from the main criminal court. Inside, the decor of the hotel is suitable for one of Accor's more downmarket brands than for a Mercure, with garish colours in hallways and a rather bare and dated lobby. The restaurant had no atmosphere - OK for breakfast (a standard and unimaginative buffet) but dismal for an evening meal. I ordered room service for dinner on one occasion, but was disappointed by lukewarm food, inadequate cutlery (no spoon provided for a dessert) and a muddle with my beverage order. To make matters worse, I left my tray outside my room, as requested, after finishing my meal at 10PM, and the tray was still there at 9:15AM the following day - a sign of lackadaisical service. Positively, my room was comfortable and equipped to the expected standard for the quality of hotel, and I had an oblique view of the Swan River if I craned my neck. But if I return to Perth, I'll give the Mercure a miss.
“A Good Hotel to stay for conference”
It is not far from everything, good service, breakfast included which I did not expect. However, some sort of noise might from nearby building wake me in the morning.
“Fine but unexciting”
Hotel staff were friendly & helpful. Hotel room clean. Shower temperature varied a lot for the 1st shower of the day (so leave it running for a few mins).
“Well located hotel”
Well situated hotel. Staff friendly and rooms generous size. Hotel guests seemed to be mainly retirees, mums and dads and families. Great roof top pool.
“will stay again”
Hotel location central to all things the breakfast a bit over price in dinning room ,but you can go next door get same thing half price
“Barely satisfactory.”
A basic hotel with dowdy rooms (my room was in the north tower overlooking Hay street). Probably worth spending a bit more at a newer or recently renovated hotel to get a potentially much better standard. Basically this place felt over-rated and over-priced for the barely satisfactory standard of room and facilities.
“Great what we expected”
Just what we were after
“Didn't want to leave - the hotel provided everything I needed”
This was a clean comfotable hotel that was close to all the shops and visitor locations - the Hotel staff were helpful in helping to book excursions and with other information. My only complaint was that the bar closed so early - as it would have been nice to return in the evening after our walk and sit and have a drink with my friends instead of being told there were drinks our rooms.
“Short Business Trip”
Location is good, breakfast was fine. Room was noisy, particularly during the day (may have been the airconditioning. The air conditioner was not very effective and the room was warm.

Perth City Centre, Western Australia, Australia: The country's fourth largest city and booming capital of Western Australia is sprawling, but downtown Perth proper is bounded by the Swan River and the Graham Farmer Freeway and easily covered on foot. Museums, galleries, shopping malls, and pedestrian precincts characterise the CBD, while parkland wanders along the riverfront. The downtown area also encompasses East Perth, a former industrial zone now converted to residential streets, and Northbridge, a restaurant and nightlife hotspot that is also home to Perth's Cultural Centre.
