Clean and tidy, did the job

Posted 29-Apr-2015
Don’t come here expecting luxury. The hotel is old and dated and really has no mod cons that we could find accept free wifi. We stayed on the fifth floor and arrived in our room to open the curtains and find our view was of a massive construction site, luckily we were there over Anzac weekend so there was no work going on. What was annoying, and kept us awake more than a construction site probably would have, was the air conditioner unit from next door which was attached to our balcony. The noise coming out of it was horrendous and a mind numbing constant drone. Our sliding door didn’t shut fully and just the slightest opening amplified the sound. That aside our room was fine, everything was really tidy and clean and it’s all we needed for a short stay. We had a fridge in our room which was great for keeping small things cold and saved on eating out for breakfast. There is a lot that can be done to improve this place such as double glazing, better soundproofing (we could hear next door talking and their TV), bigger beds and the ability to lock your door from the inside of your room (I didn’t feel 100% secure with just a door chain). The location is great and we had no problem walking in to the city. The staff also arranged a taxi to pick us up when we left for the airport. All in all an ok stay, we wouldn’t stay here again but if you just need a bed and a shower, you can’t really go wrong, after all, you probably won’t be spending that much time in your room.

Well priced and centrally located

Posted 17-Apr-2015
Pros: Meals are good value
Cons: parking availability
Location: Close to central shopping area and easy access to freeway
Better value than most Perth hotels. Rooms are relatively basic but are clean and have all essential facilities. There was noise by 7 am from construction site nextdoor.

Hotel should be rated as a two star motel.

Posted 11-Apr-2015
The room was so old and outdated with furniture and carpet and kitchen facilities from the 70's. The hot water in the bathroom only trickled which made showering extremely uncomfortable. This hotel should not be rated as highly as it is- I will be telling my friends and colleagues to not stay here as they would be so disappointed.

Friendly hotel at a reasonable price

Posted 27-Mar-2015
Pros: I really like the friendly atmosphere and the comfortable, well priced rooms.
Cons: Some of the bathrooms are a little old fashioned, but the bedrooms are usually large and comfortable.
Location: All of the tourist attractions are easy to get to by bus, or on foot and coach tour companies 'pick you up' from this hotel if you have booked a tour.
I choose to stay at the Goodearth Hotel when I am in Perth because it is close to the free CAT bus which takes me into the city. It is only about 10 minutes walk to the city, and the prices at this hotel are reasonable. There is a 24 hour desk which is important to me, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere and a lot of tourist information available.

Goodearth Hotel is a reasonably priced hotel.

Posted 10-Mar-2015
Pros: The overall standard
Cons: Fair pricing represented very good value.
Location: Not too far to walk to the ferry. The Red Cat and Blue Cat buses were a good way to shorten distances.
Following advice from a young man on your front desk we were able to walk to the Swan River in just a few minutes. The meals we had were a good standard and my husband especially enjoyed the breakfast meals. Rooms were clean with comfortable beds. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant
