Good, clean, value for money hotel

Posted 13-Oct-2014
Pros: The size of the room and the fact that it had a kitchen area. It was also nice and clean even though the decor was rather dated. Loads of cupboards.
Cons: Breakfast times should have been extended until 10.00 am and more choice was needed for the continental breakfast.
Location: Close to the river and Swan Bells. Try Sassy's on the Swan for the best Thai Coconut and Banana pancakes for breakfast! 10 mins walk to CBD.
What I really liked about this hotel, was the size of the room and the fact that it had a kitchen area too - no trying to fill a jug and wash up in the bathroom sink as in most hotels. The room was clean and all the staff were really friendly and helpful. Another excellent idea was the 24/7 'shop' in the foyer - ideal for buying that bottle of wine, bottled water, tube of toothpaste etc. The shop also has 'heat and eat' meals, prepared in the hotel kitchen, which just needed a couple of minutes in the microwave and dinner was done. Good for someone travelling alone who didn't want to go out in the evening. The quality of the meals could be improved but was acceptable. The location of the hotel was good - close to the river and about 10-15 minutes walk from the CBD, or buses stop outside. I would definitely go back to the Goodearth Hotel and recommend it to others.

Wind down time after touring

Posted 10-Oct-2014
Pros: Location, studio kitchen courteous staff and the fact that you can order meals either in the dining room or to collect to have in your room if you wis
Cons: Nothing for the style and price of this hotel.
Location: Good location
My friend and I experienced our first coach tour and planned four nights at the end of that in Perth. Booking a twin studio unit at the Good Earth hotel was the right decision for us. The hotel is reasonably priced and having the small kitchenette meant we could do things in our own time and thus unwind down after being on the go on the tour. Staff we had contact with nothing but helpful and courteous, the room was clean and had all we required. The shuttle to the airport and the wine tour vehicle left from just across the road and the free local buses meant that for anyone who didn't want to walk the couple of blocks into the city didn't have to. The location suited very well. I would recommend this hotel.

Good Earth Hotel

Posted 09-Oct-2014
Pros: Locality is great as it is close to transport, breakfast is superb.
Cons: Beds could be replaced as they were very soft , especially the sofa bed which was like a hammock to sleep in.
Location: Close to Perth Mint and free transport around the city.
Hotel close to transport, has excellent staff, room was very small and bathroom miniscule, however all was clean. The only problem we had that there were three people in the room and six days out of the seven had to ask for linen for the third person, this wore thin after the second day. The buffet breakfast was a credit to the hotel and is equal if not better than many overseas hotels.

over priced dump

Posted 18-Sep-2014
Pros: close to city free parking and internet
Cons: see above
Location: see above
Very basic . stayed 2 nights. No curtains just heavy drapes. Couldn't get daylight except pulling back heavy drapes and exposed to hotel next door. Cant open the window . place needs fresh air. Room odour went through everything couldn't wait to wash my clothes. Very dated throughout. Needs a good paint job. Very overpriced.
