"The good….great location, breakfast staff excellent….The bad…..road between hotel and lake under construction so no simple access to lake….should have been advised of this work. Hotel charged me extra cost when leaving hotel, reception staff unable to explain charge so advised me to email operations manager….i did this got no reply or acknowledge from the manager but just a refund back to my credit card after 3 days …..not great customer service."

"The property was everything you hope it would be - the staff were fantastic and helpful, the room was clean, spacious and comfortable, the reservation was exactly as requested, the amenities were plentiful, clean and well kept and complimentary breakfast buffet was better than most other places we stay - especially the coffee selection. I would recommend and not hesitate to stay again! The beach is an added bonus - very quiet and peaceful. Quick birthday trip for hubby and I to experience the local Dambo Troll art installations. Do not hesitate, it was a wonderful experience made better by the fantastic staff! - Tip them well:)"

"Don't rely on the photos. Stay for the ice cream shop and the beautiful lake. If the manager spent some time fixing up the space or cleaning instead of sitting outside yelling at guests, it would probably be a nicer atmosphere. Second time coming here, have recommended to friends and family. I understand that the property is old, but that doesn't excuse the fact that it was filthy. Spots on sheets, had to wear sandals in the shower for how nasty the bathrooms were."

"The reviews lead me to believe it was nicer than its price point. Its not gross or unsafe but it defintely needs some up keep and updates. Get what you pay for I guess. Staff was nice."
