Spacious & dignified

Our concerns at the Hotel being opposite the railway station, were completely unfounded. We didn't hear even the slightest sound of train during the stay. Lovely hotel, lovely staff, excellent inexpensive parking right outside. We couldn't fault the hotel in any way.

Northern France, ARRAS

Pros: Friendly front desk staff. On the square facing the train station, but very quiet.
We stayed five days at Hotel d'Angleterre in late April. We just walked across the square from the Train Station. It is a quiet hotel with large rooms (fourth floor). We did not eat at the Hotel but had meals in different restaurants around the city. Lots to see and do. We toured underground at the Wellington Quarry (20 minute walk from Hotel), attended Saturday market in the big square, a floor market in Victor Hugo Place, and climbed up and under the City Hall where the tourist office is located. Great restaurants. We rented a car and drove to Vimy and Beau Hammel World War 1 sites, both within 30 minutes of Arras.

Pros: Location to everything is ideal.
Cons: Needs a little paint and freshening up here and there.
Location: Very historic area great sightseeing. Bring your camera!
We were a group of 4 and the room was very adequate. The hotel is just a short walk from the train station and close to the downtown area which is very scenic. Overall a great stay.

Very comfortable and so convenient.

Pros: Lots of interesting choices on the restaurant menu; food was splendidly cooked and served.
Location: Convenient location with safe parking in underground park fifty metres from hotel - ticket from hotel. Tunnels beneath Town Hall are brilliant!
Our room had real character and was so relaxing to return to after visiting the town. Breakfast was simple but most enjoyable; service was friendly and helpful throughout.

Nice welcome, nice rooms. Double glazing on Aluminium frame not very effective so you are awake with first truck. Management appears to be listening to constructive comments.
