Nice staff - shame about the room
This place needs major updating work. Staff are kind and helpful, but the room was cramped, gloomy, noisy and had a bathroom which was very downmarket.

The hotel refused to provide heat for the room. Extremely cold. Television did not work properly Shower broken. Sleeping area was up a set of stairs: extremely inconvenient.

The price was really low for Paris but we had booked a room with two single beds and we got a double bed and the cleanliness was not great.

The only good thing about this hotel was the proximity to the subway and bus stop. And the woman at the front desk was very nice. Other than that, it was pretty disappointing. The halls are tiny, dark and dingy. The musk of old carpets hits you as soon as you get off the elevator. The room was also tiny and in desperate need of an upgrade and a good carpet shampoo. I’d never suggest anyone I like to book a stay here

Great location.
Great location a very short walk from metro, bus, restaurants, grocery, pharmacy. Also within walking distance (or a short ride, depending on health) of a park and a charming pedestrian-only row of restaurants with various cuisines. Rooms are large. Elevator is great help. Hosts of this boutique hotel (18 rooms, I think) are very friendly and helpful. Refrigerator in room.

Perfect to visit the city.
Very nice people with no dramas, clean room in a good area within a block and a half from the metro. All that you need in Paris if you are traveling to see the city. Elevator, warm water and WiFi.

Friendly, Cozy and Comfortable
The staff are welcoming and accomodating as soon as you walk through the door. As my flight arrived well before check in the offer of secure luggage storage made it easy to explore the city for the morning. The room itself was clean and the bed ridiculously comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to any traveller not wanting to spend a fortune on accomodation but wanting easy transport access to the city.

Cute, quaint little Parisian hotel.
Bed was wonderful, as were the proprietors. The shower curtain didn't extend all the way around the tub, and that meant you had to be careful when using the shower. But just be careful, and you're fine. With the window open a bit on a lovely late-autumn Paris night, it was a wonderful place to get all my Zzzs.

Terrible bed. Was rock hard, and sloped so badly a bag, for example, slid straight off the bed. No towel some days, no soap some days, just a poor experience.

Leaving was a relief
The hotel is well situated and is in close proximity to the metro. The surrounding area is very lively. However, the room itself is not very clean, doesn't look like it's ever been swept, it is very dusty and the beds have bugs. The maids almost always forget(or neglect ?) to make the bed and replace the towels. The bathroom windows are transparent. Hot water is a problem in the upper floors - you're sure to waste around 5 minutes of running water before actually getting hot water. Be very careful not to leave your things lying in the room when you go out - the maids do not hesitate to look into your stuff and take whatever they want and the hotel takes no responsibility. The only advantages are that it's a cheap hotel and it is well situated.

Great value for money and location
Excellent value.. It was very quiet and close to everything. The metro was only 2 minutes walk away as was the bus stop for the Gare de Lyon. I had a front room which was very light and I think it was the quietest small hotel that I have stayed at in Paris, no noise from outside (or inside) at all. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. I slept like a log. Would highly recommend. The hot water took a bit long to warm up for the shower but that was OK.

Basic hotel convenient for Austerlitz station
Due to train strike I was stuck in Paris and found this room at short notice (2 metro stops or 20 min walk from Austerlitz). Hotel is a bit run down but concierge was helpful and gave good advice finding restaurants nearby. I must have had last room, 6th floor attic, with 3 beds but no desk, chair or kettle. Free wifi was dreadful - required registration which froze my mobile phone and took 3 reboots and deletion of connection information to work again so did not risk with PC!

Lovely area that felt safe at all times, hotel had free wifi which was a great bonus. Friendly staff, no tea making services in the room however there was a fridge, hair dryer and shampoo, soap etc. Lots of lovely restaurants nearby

This hotel doesn't cost much and it's in a very good quiet street but a minute away from so many things. However, it's basic and dated in decor. I didn't have a chance to try breakfast (had meetings) but somehow I didn't feel inclined either. Because it's a bit older, the rooms are more spacious than one would expect but the tv is miniscule"

The place is close enough to the action of Paris, but a little way's off the beaten path--so it's a bit quieter in the neighborhood. Unfortunately the early check-in request was not honored, but they did allow me to drop off luggage so I could get around without looking like a total tourist! The staff speak VERY little English FWIW and my pigeon-French got me checked in without any real hassle. They take payment for the entire stay at check-in, so if there's a problem, I think it would be difficult to settle accounts if you decide to leave earlier than planned. Room-wise, it's ok. the top floor have mezzanine double beds and a single bed on the entry level, as the bathroom. The windows open out and let in a cool breeze which is nice, but cigarette smoke will enter (as it happens in France.) The only issue that I have is that it's a hotel that still uses metal KEYS and you have to drop them off at reception when you leave. One time I came back and my door was left UNLOCKED by the staff. A serious no-no, unfortunately. I wish they would update to key-card locks and it would feel more secure. I had the misfortune of the maid entering the room when I was trying to tell her in my pigeon-French that no service was needed (even though the key was in the lock on the inside.) So, it's ok, but not much more.

Great little hotel
Great little hotel. We needed a place close to Austerlitz, metro, and airport connections - this was perfect. It's just around the corner from the Air France bus stop and a taxi stand. Lots of nearby good restaurants/cafes which open early and serve until late. The staff was wonderful - very friendly and helpful. Even though our room overlooked the street, it was very quiet. Beds were comfortable. The only criticism would be that the room could have been a bit cleaner - but overall it was very good. Would definitely recommend.

Decent Inexpensive Hotel.
Media Hotel is a small (boutique) hotel that is inexpensive by Paris standards. The best thing about the hotel is its location. It is a block and a half from a Metro station. It has cafes and shops nearby. It's quiet. It isn't near any of the monuments or museums. But, they are all accessible by train. With stops, it takes roughly 25 minutes to get to the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre or Arc de Triumphe. The Staff is very friendly. It helps if you speak some French. They do speak a little English. The room is clean, everything worked. The shower doesn't have the best layout. The shower isn't completely enclosed and the drape doesn't wrap completely around. There is a removable shower head with handle. Because of the orientation of the holder you will get water all over the floor is you turn it on and leave it in the holder. So you're holding the shower "wand" the entire time. For a trip to Paris on a budget I recommend it. If you want a premium room you're going to pay a premium Paris price.

I wanted a dead cheap bed over the weekend and got away with €45 per night on very short notice. Good value in Paris! No complaint at all. It's just a budget place and those are not that comfortable. The room had seen it's best days but was clean and quiet. The lamp over the bathroom mirror did not work. I didn't bother to comment to the front desk.

Good buy if you're on a budget.
For the price it was a good buy. It was really hot in Paris at the time but they did provide a fan to help with the heat. I slept with the window open and once the temperature went down at night it wasn't so bad. If you are on a budget then it is worth it, but if you can afford it upgrade because the bed was soooo uncomfortable. I have back issues so it was hard to sleep. If you're in good health then you might be able to put up with the bed.

This hotel has a good location, being close to the metro, restaurants and supermarkets. However, the rooms are old and have not been maintained. Cracked bathtubs and toilet seats. The rooms also smell, but opening the window helps with that.

In general, the hotel is ok, though everything is old. It is relatively clean. However, one thing surprised us. On last Saturday afternoon, when I was going to have a bath, I found that all the towels on the shelf were kind wet. They were used in the previous day and were re-folded and placed there. It was very disgusting! We have three people and the towels were piled on the floor after used. I talked to the front desk and demanded them to replace with clean towels. They complied.

The hotel looked absolutely nothing like the photos that were given. The front desk was friendly enough but we didn't feel comfortable asking them much aside from where our room was. They took towels from our bathroom every day to clean but didn't replace them. I saw a roach one night-but figure maybe that's to be expected in Paris. Television in the room didn't work and they kept doing construction on their own building very early in the morning even though guests were sleeping. It wasn't a bad stay but I'd probably look elsewhere next time.

The staff was so awful and rude to us. They offered us no help at all with directions or advice and often would blatantly ignore us or not be present at all. The room was gross and smelled bad. We had no clean towels or shampoo or any soap or anything. I am almost positive the sheets were not cleaned either. When I told the staff I wanted a refund he left and sent in someone else who "spoke no English" and of course didn't help. DO NOT stay here.

Overall I was not impressed. I stayed at the Media with my wife and daughter for two days. We were not greeted friendly by the receptionist. They were not helpful when it comes to solving the tricky situation of parking your car and trying to avoid a ticket in Paris. The room was mediocre. Cleanliness wise it was ok, but the heater was not working properly. Instead of accomodating us in a diffrent room, all we received was a tiny electrical heater. The neighborhood was a bit sketchy. Lots of drunks who also don't refrain from relieving themselfs urinating on our car in brought daylight.

Good location, clean, reasonable budget hotel
Decent amount of space in our family room for 4 by comparison with some other tiny Parisian rooms I have stayed in, helped by mezzanine with double bed, above 2 singles for our children. Good bathroom, inc bath and shower. Minimal and basic furniture, but a full-size new fridge. Our bed didn't look anything like the main pic beside the hotel profile, but was OK. Windows just had nets to 2/3 way down - would have preferred curtains, or at least full length nets, when undressing! Nice neighbourhood: a few noisy drunks late on Fri night but otherwise pretty quiet and felt safe. Useful to have late night/early morning access (esp in a city hotel). Handy location: metro station just around corner, or could walk to Notre Dame in 25 mins - via the charming Rue Mouffetard, and through the Latin quarter, past the Pantheon, Sorbonne, and other interesting spots. Didn't try breakfast (found out a bit late that you have to order and pay for it the night before), but used an excellent boulangerie on corner with Ave des Gobelins, and some local cafes inc Le Reveil Matin - friendly staff. Note: mezzanine reached by narrow spiral staircase with sloping roof above it, so not suitable for very young children or those with mobility or flexibility problems.
