Good Choice for Bargain Hunters near Champs-Elysee

Posted 18-Nov-2014
Pros: Location and friendly staff
Cons: Better room lighting. More electrical outlets to plug in computers etc.
Location: Good location. Very quiet. Charming non touristy neighbourhood. Nice shops, good restaurants. Walking distance to all major attractions.
I have visited Paris many times and have stayed in just about every central area. This hotel is very well situated for those that want to explore Paris on foot, which is how I like to do it. The area where it is located, near Blvd Des Courcelles, Place des Ternes is very charming, not at all touristy. Some beautiful shoe and clothing stores and good restaurants. The hotel is ~1 KM from the Arc De Triomph/Champs-Elysees which is where the Air France bus drops you. (The bus you want is "Etoile"). The hotel itself is an older building that has been recently updated with a small 1 person elevator. The room, as virtually all are in Paris, is small by USA standards and generally I would say basic. Mine had a small tub with portable shower nozzle, a double bed, no closet - just a rack with some hangers, small flatscreen TV, with only 1 English channel (although I am not certain why you would be staying in the room and watching TV in Paris). The room and hotel were very clean and the staff very friendly (everyone's English was better than my French which isn't too bad). The price was right (90 Euros) which is very inexpensive for a well placed Paris hotel. If you are looking for luxury, this will not be your spot. If you need a place to park your bags and visit the most beautiful city in the world, this will work.

Pleasant stay, very comfortable and relaxing

Posted 09-Nov-2014
Pros: Staff friendliness
Cons: Breakfast
Location: Very close to metro station
Service from the reception staff was incredible. The gentleman advised all the local areas to visit and even booked our transfers back to the airport. When there was a mix up with the car he offered to pay the difference for a private car. Room was simple but elegant, small TV but you are in Paris after all so why would you be watching TV? Breakfast was average, simple french croissants but no fruit sadly.

3 min to metro

I was disappointed because Hotel website built expectations of some special boutique hotel. Rooms have some black and white photos on the walls, that's all the boutique part. Average Paris hotel in an old building. Staff is nice, location convenient, and hotel is a fine value for the price.

Good Staff

Stay was OK, the staff was very helping, understanding and supporting.Metro Station was also near.I am not sure, why the hotel charged me 3 Euro extra for each night of stay as city tax, though I showed them the printout of Hotels.com booking also which mentions nothing about such tax..So, I would request a clarifcation from Hotels.com on this.Since instead of 210 Euro for two nights I had to pay 216 Euro to the hotel.

Hjelpsom betjening.
