Location location location...

Posted 26-Aug-2014
Pros: It's location; they had also been really inventive with the layout so, although the room was small, the shower room was big with a touch of luxury
Cons: Nothing springs to mind
Location: It is at the edge of the Marais; it's the gay district, but has a great mixture of characterful small streets, shops and restaurants.
The hotel is boutique in feel and we felt was really good value for money; rooms are small, but for such a relatively central location (Republique is a good junction for the Metro) the quality of the room and friendliness of staff made up for not being able to swing a cat.

5 day trip to Paris in August

Posted 24-Aug-2014
Pros: Clean, friendly. Rooms were a little small but standard for European hotels
Cons: Size of the rooms
Location: Great location. Very central. Metro is a 5 min walk. The square close by has lots of entertainment. Cafés and restaurants right outside the hotel.
Took the Eurostar out. Smooth ride. Everything went well. Took our own food as presumed it was a better and cheaper option. Bought the Paris Museum Pass and worked out really well

Nice hotel.

Nice, newly renovated hotel. The room was tight but has all that was needed to have a comfortable stay. Very clean and exceptionally quiet as we were on the courtyard side. Excellent beds and nice bathroom. The location was very handy to the metro ans not far from many must see sights. The staff was friendly and helpful. Thumbs up for this one!

Lovely hotel, great location for metro links

Posted 16-Aug-2014
My girlfriend and I stayed for 3 nights and the hotel was perfect for what we wanted. The room was small but cosy, and above all clean and quiet. The staff were welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We especially liked the private use of the sauna/steamroom facilities, which could be arranged at reception. The hotel was a 2min walk to République metro station, from which you can access pretty much any of the main sights without having to change line.

Small rooms, comfy beds, great staff and location

Pros: see above
Cons: Soap bars could be provided. More towels Make up mirror with good lighting... after all, this IS Paris!
Location: see above
Small rooms, comfy beds, great staff and location. I'd recommend the hotel, although for two people, the small room size was an issue. If you plan to spend limited time in your room, this is a great way to go. The staff was terrific. The front desk folks were unfailingly helpful, smart, friendly and sophisticated. They seemed able to read the variety of guests' tastes and respond accordingly. For instance, we wanted to see a movie one night and the concierge located the best spot with English speaking movies (French subtitles) and told us where we could eat, wrote down the movie start times and name of the theatre to give the taxi driver. It was all so easy. I liked the décor, the atmosphere and the neighborhood. We quickly felt a part of the area and that is fun!!

Lovely hotel in a great location

Posted 24-Jul-2014
Pros: Helpful, clean rooms and location
Cons: No
Location: Very close to very nice cafe and restaurant and also for Metro travel
Staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful, the room was a Junior Suite so had 2 segments to it. One for us and one for our daughter, the space was economical but perfectly adequate, it had a large flat screen TV in both parts of the room, everything was modern clean and in good condition. Location was also excellent, only 3 minutes from Place De La Replublique which has 5 metro lines running through it or as we did you can walk to places like Sacre Coeur, Musee de Louvre, Pommpidou etc. finally eating we had room service one night and the hotel food was very good but we ate out every other day and there are dozens of nice place to eat for breakfast, lunch or dinner all around within minutes walk, or if you prefer something quicker and cheaper there is always McDonalds, KFC or Quick nearby too! Lovely Hotel and would go again :)

Great location.

Once we found Hotel Marais Home, we enjoyed its friendly and helpful staff. It's address is on boulevard du temple but there is also a rue du temple. Boulevard du temple was difficult to find on the map we had. The room was very clean, updated, super comfy bed, with a slight view of the Eiffel Tower and Sacre Coeur from our balcony. It is just around the corner from Republique plaza where many concerts are held. Breakfast was expensive and we used it once. At 16 euros can get much cheaper in close by cafés. They do have a very nice cappuccino machine in the room and lobby with a nice variety of coffees and teas for free. There were also some pastries in the evening in the lobby. We did not take advantage of the sauna or steam room. But were told they has robes we could use if we decided to use them. They were not in the room but the slippers were. All in all it was a very nice hotel. It was very small ,,., room to open one carry on suitcase on the floor at a time. This didn't bother us a bit. The shower has a full door that completely closed so that was nice compared to standard French hotel half doors. I thought price was about $50 too high.

Nice hotel

Hotel is nice. Has a great view from the rooftop, breakfast is good but a little pricey. Our room was very small, was a struggle with two large suitcases every time we had to open them
