Paris getaway

Posted 01-Sep-2014
Pros: Great location for the metro
Cons: Could use more pore plugs to recharge mobile devices / and barite er lighting
Location: Metro close / quick on to Louver / and efffel tower
Hotel located very close to the grad nord rail station / Eurostar/ The hotel is also close to MacDonalds which has good coffe selection / the power plugs in the hotel are very limited / there is no a/c in the room / great for a late simmer or fall trip / the local metro is very close

Mediocre hotel in bad location

Posted 25-Aug-2014
The hotel room was very small, the hallways very narrow, and the location wasn't so great. It's right next to the Gare du Nord, which is convenient, but it's in a bad part of town. The bathroom had a terrible smell, and you could hear everything going on in the street below. Overall, there's nothing really great about this hotel.

Good location

Posted 18-Aug-2014
Pros: Location.
Cons: More check-in and check out staff as quite a queue.
Location: Easy to walk to many of the tourist spots of Paris. The nearby metro makes it easy to get around. Be wary of the metro at peak hour - pickpockets!!
Close to Gare de Nord and Montmatre so good location for exploring Paris. We had a 3 bed room so a little squeezy.

Pleasant hotel

Posted 12-Aug-2014
The four of us (2 adults, 2 children) stayed here for a night due to it's convenience to Gare Du Nord so that we could catch the RER to the airport the next day. Very comfortable as had plenty of space (particularly on Paris scale) with two single beds for the kids and a double for us.

Basic Hotel in Paris

Posted 11-Jul-2014
Pros: Friendly staff and clean room.
Cons: Facilities in the room.
Location: Close to Gare du Nord, Sacre Coeur and Montmartre.
The hotel is situated very close to Gare du Nord which is convenient. However the surrounding area is somewhat seedy and dirty, and the street, boulevard de Magenta, is very noisy all night The hotel itself is clean but the facilities are basic. It was disappointing that in a 3 star rated hotel, there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The breakfast did not look very appealing but there are plenty of cafes around the station serving breakfast.

Good location to Gare du Nord

Posted 19-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel's location outweighed all others condition of this hotel. The small narrow elevator (which I refused to take) made for some uncomfortable hikes up the stairs to the room after spending the day out in Paris. The room was comfortable but needed air conditioning on the warm Paris day. We opened the window to get relief only to find that the window did not have a screen so we closed it not wanting bugs to enter the room while we slept. The price was not in line with the amenities. I would choose the hotel again as long as the weather is comfortable outside and the room location on the 2nd floor or lower.

Close to the station

Posted 13-Jun-2014
The hotel is convenient near the train station but if you want a quiet area this is not the place to stay in the warm weather! The street noise is horrific when the windows need to be open. I will say that with the windows closed the noise is not too bad. The room itself was clean but the bathroom left much to be desired. The walls and ceiling were in need of a good scrubbing and mould treatment. The breakfast was good and staff pleasant. I personally would not stay again at this hotel only because of the noise and the bathroom cleanliness. For the area this hotel is reasonably priced.

Fantastic find close to Gare du Nord

Posted 13-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
I was on a last minute business trip to Paris with an early train home so wanted to be close to the Gare du Nord. This hotel was perfect for that, on a main street so nice and safe and well appointed. My single room was actually relatively spacious for a single, with a well designed compact bathroom. There is no air conditioning but the windows stopped all traffic noise (my room was on the main entrance). Staff were very helpful and friendly.
