A very charming property managed by some of the nicest people you will ever meet, everything in there is tasteful and breathing of history, the smooth jazz playing at the reception adds a touch of nostalgia, quite adorable.

Real atmosphere in the colonial town .
That's a nice place to feel the colonial atmosphere of the town. The towels and sheets are not really good quality, but it's good enough. The matress is great. The breakfast is colonial, and it is not really vegan friendly, but there are few options to feel ok. The breakfast table is a sharing table, so it is not really a great thing depending on the "company". It is ok for the value. But, not excellent.

Old Colonial Building with lots of charm
Great historical hotel in the centre of old Paraty. It's a delightful old building with period furniture and lots of charm. Staff very friendly. Breakfast included. The nearest parking or access by car/ taxi is a block away and dragging a suitcase across the large cobblestones is not easy. The bathroom is not modern and the Aircon and TV have not been updated for years but I'd rather stay here than in a bland chain hotel.

This is a great pousada/hotel. The place is very central and close to really good shops, bars and restaurants. You are basically in the heart of everything. Except at night, it is very quiet. I mean really quiet [Saturday night the whole town is subjected to club noise from the local youth hostel...so bring your earplugs..but except for this...tranquilo!]. The building is the place everyone wants to be photographed in front of and inside it is beautifully and respectfully decorated. This place is a piece of history. Even though the 'Classic Suite' has some issues [bathroom/noisy air conditioning] you will be glad you stayed in this amazing room. It is like stepping back in time. They offer a standard breakfast and you have lovely, quiet, chilled out staff around to help you out. This place is worth the money and worth staying at. Enjoy!

It's a real experience to bit in a old colonial house in the centre of Paraty. It has that magic feel of transporting you back to a distant past. The main drawback is the bathroom: very small, not very comfortable and functional, not easy to get hot water, loo blocks easily... Breakfast is nothing special. The owners/managers are very friendly and helpful. As with any place in central Paraty, not recommended if you have heavy suitcases (you cannot roll them on the stone pavements)

Lovely stay
I stayed two nights. The staff was very friendly and kind. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and cheerful. I liked the breakfast and historical interior decorating of the common spaces. No cars are allowed in the historical center so you will have to carry your luggage about 2 short blocks.

At first, the poussada is under renovation. All what is advertised on hotel.com is not right. The garden is under work, no access to pool. The kitchen is under work, no breakfast. The room os a disaster. No window that closes, no AC / Heating that works.On top, when we checked in, we could not stay at the hotel, and they relocated us into a lower standard poussada that was so bad. This hotel must be avoided and shall be removed from the platforms. I will file a claim as this is fully unacceptable. Do not go there

Good afternoon Although individual criticisms do not correspond to the perceptions of the majority, every evaluation is welcome, as it is an opportunity for improvement, however, some facts described do not correspond to reality. We informed in a message that we had the back of the house under construction, including the kitchen, which contradicts your statement. In the reservation it informs that we are not serving breakfast. Even so, as we had a power problem in the city, which was causing problems with our showers, we thought it best to transfer them to another pousada nearby. Although coffee was not included, which is why the daily rates were lower, coffee was served at this pousada and there was no charge. There is no information that our hostel has heating equipment. As Paraty is a beach town where the temperature, even in winter, is not too cold, none of the pousada in town offers space heating. It should also be noted that our pousada is an adapted historic mansion and the room photos show that, instead of windows, there are two balconies with large doors overlooking the historic center, which is one of our great differentials. What was strange to us is that, despite the claim that they did not like the room, the guests spent the whole day inside it, only coming down in the late afternoon to leave. Also, a room change was not requested, which we would promptly do. The next day, we received a refund request as a review threat. We believe that all guests, whether they like it or not, are entitled to reviews. This is what makes our reputation so good over so many years of dedication. Our main objective, more than a simple accommodation, is to be able to offer a humanized and warm service to those who pass by, and as can be seen in the evaluations we have, we believe that we have achieved this objective. We apologize for any inconvenience that may have occurred regardless of our will.

Very nice place; would definitely come back
Wonderful stay at this Pousada. Very centrally located in Old Paraty; charming rooms (very true to the style of Old Paraty, so set your expectations accordingly - do not expect luxury but ambiance); kind and helpful staff who were also helpful in assisting me in sorting out an issue with Hotels.com and in changing my booking when that was needed.

Very nice place in old Paraty
Great ambiance and location in the old city in Paraty. Very friendly and helpful staff. A variet of types of rooms. Faces quiet street very close to the streets with restaurants, so none of that noice. Only minor point is that the breakfast serving is quite a small meal, especially if you do not eat bread. But plenty of cafe options around to stock up.

A localização é excelente. Bem no centro histórico, mas numa parte mais tranquila e silenciosa, de pouca passagem. Os proprietários e funcionários são todos muito gentis, e percebe-se um grande cuidado com relação a práticas impostas pela pandemia. Café da manhã muito bom. Não é um lugar de luxo, mas de boa receptividade e bom gosto. Recomendo a estadia

Localizaçao, atendimento e charme espetacular
Hotel localizado no centro historico em região tranquila longe de barulho dos bares. Hotel muito bem conservado, charmoso e agradavel. Atendimento excelente da equipe, recepçao, cafe da manha. Quarto espaçoso, bom banheiro e chuveiro. Nao ha estacionamento por estar dentro da area de proibido circulaçao de carros mas ha proximo do hotel locais para deixar gratuitamente na rua ou um estacionamento na av principal bem perto ao custo de R$ 25,00 o dia. Recomendo sem duvida a pousada, um charme de pousada...

Beautiful hotel!!!
I had a lovely stay in this beautiful hotel! The house is amazing and restored beautifully!! The staff were lovely, so warm and welcoming and really helpful!! Breakfast was delicious! Best cheese bread in the whole of Brazil!! Mmmm Thank you, ill definitely stay here again whilst in Paraty

Das Gebäude war sehr schön, hervorragend gelegen in der Altstadt von Paraty, sehr zentral. Antik eingerichtetes Zimmer mit morbidem, kolonialem Charme, stivoll. Der Nachteil ist, dass es weder im Zimmer noch an der Rezeption einen Safe gibt, was ungewöhnlich ist und mittlerweile zur Standardausstattung eines Hotels/einer Pension zählt. Auf meine Frage, warum es keinen Safe gäbe und wer die Verantwortung dafür übernimmt, wenn etwas abhanden kommt, wurde der Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption, Rafael, recht unfreundlich, bezeichnete mich als "Gringo" (abfällige Bezeichnung für Europäer bzw. Amerikaner) und warf mir vor, ich würde ihm Diebstahl unterstellen. Der Besitzer, Eduardo, war freundlicher, entschuldigte sich für das Fehlverhalten seines Mitarbeiters und erklärte mir, warum es angeblich nicht möglich sei, in die Zimmer Safes einzubauen. Wie dem auch sei... Ich bin 2 Tage lang mit meinen Wertsachen durch die Gegend gelaufen, was nicht sehr komfortabel war.

Boa localização. Banheiro muito pequeno em relação ao quarto. Recepção poderia dar mais atenção ao hóspede referente a informações, como chegar com maré alta, etc.

O atendimento foi muito bom, pousada muito agradavel, de otima localização . Poderia investir em modernização, principalmente nos banheiros e na compra de geradores. Piscina estava mal cuidada.

Bom local no Centro Histórico
Foi uma boa opção no centro histórico. Um hotel simples com preço razoável .Fiquei num quarto de frente, com sacadas e linda vista para o casario. Perto de restaurantes e lojas de artesanato. Bom café da manhã numa sala agradável com vista para micos e passarinhos.O armário estava com cheiro de mofo mas há cabideiros e gaveteiros fora.

chuveiro e cama ruim, não tinha informação que não teria estacionamento por ser centro histórico e tambèm não dizia onde poderia parar o carro, tive que ficar rodando ao redor enfim preço não condiz com serviço oferecido.

Gut & freundlich, aber ein paar Details fehlen.
Tolle Pousada mit guter Atmosphäre in der historischen Altstadt von Paraty. Positiv fand ich die zentrale Lage, das gepflegte Haus sowie das gute Frühstück. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr herzlich, freundlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Leider ist das Haus aufgrund der alten Bausubstanz und der knarrenden Holzböden aber eher laut. Ich hätte mir außerdem auch eine bessere Abschirmung gegen Mücken gewünscht. Insgesamt wie gesagt aber gut.

Un séjour agréable dans un décor de rêve
Balades et shopping dans le village, promenade de 5h en bateau dans la baie avec 4 arrêts baignade dans des eaux chaudes et transparentes, ballade dans la mata atlantica sur la route de l'or avec Oscar, un guide très intéressant.
