“Stylish and immaculate”

Rates as one of the best hotels I've stayed at. I first stayed in 2004 soon after it opened and I was not disappointed on my return visit this year (Augut 2006). The place has become busier but the quality and service has remained unblemished. The restaurants offer excellent food in wonderful surroundings and for all tastes. All you could expect from a 5-star hotel.

“exceeded our expectations”

this hotel definitely had the wow factor. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel restaurants have a very strict dress policy in particular no shorts or jeans. But within a short walking distance there are a range of fine and tasty restaurants to choose from. The name elysium translates to paradise, a true reflection of our holiday.

“Elysium Charm”

Totally enjoyed our holiday at the Elysium. The staff were friendly and attentive, nothing seemed too much trouble. Food, pool and gardens were a delight. We have now been to to Elysium twice and would certainly consider further visits.

“Not quite the Elysium fields”

This hotel offers comfort and everything you could want if all you want is to stay within the limits of your hotel. But if you want to stay in a luxury hotel in a beautiful place, then Paphos itself is a disappointment. A great heritage site with wonderful ancient mosaics within the tacky surroundings of development gone mad. The strip outside the hotel is the tackiest part of town and you do need a car to escape either up into the mountains or down the unspoilt peninsula. Couldn't fault the hotel or service and the breakfast buffet was unbeatable. But we won't go back because a hotel has to also be judged by its location.

“I found the Elysium Hotel to be the best thing about Paphos”

I read the Expedia reviews before selecting a Hotel in Paphos and was influenced towards the Elysium. This proved to be an excellent choice as the Elysium was all, and more, than I had expected. A true, five star plus Hotel, that I can highly recommend, the best in Paphos by miles.

“Excellent 5* Hotel”

Everything about the hotel was very good. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The only criticisms were mainly the surrounding area, where to one side of the hotel it was like a builder's waste dump. Another would be the weak service near the end of the meal in the best restaurant (CAVA). The hotel beach was 2 feet high in sea weed when we arrived, but was cleared later in the week (this was end of season).

“Great for relaxing”

Modern luxurious hotel. Plenty of restaurants within the hotel. Food very good - especially the buffets - different theme every night. Some bars and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Paphos is a longish walk (30 mins) or a short car/taxi ride. Plenty of very good restaurants in Paphos, worth a night out or two.

“winter bliss”

I went for a week in February (19degrees) and luckily the hotel was not full as it's winter, so the staff had extra time and energy to chat and be thoughtful - As it was my birthday they left a surprise cake and champagne in my room which was a nice touch. The spa treatments were great - I recommend the hot-stones holistic massage, and I booked a balcony sea view - Balcony was huge. I imagine in the summer it would be a bit noisier, busy pools etc, but I found it extremely relaxing and got the full five star treatment. They also do a nice champagne cocktail! the hotel is geared to the English (no need to take euro-plugs even, however because of this they have also shut the sushi bar which I thought was amazing, as not enough peeps are adventurous enough to try it. personally I thought this a big loss as it's the perfect food to have for a healthy light dinner after a massage and swim...still, the breakfast buffet has something for everyone..
