Very good location, close to beach

Fantastic hotle, we enjoyed our time in Elysium, staffs are very helpful, It is a truly a 5 star hotle. Location is very good, shops and restaurants are walking distance. Be prepared things are not so cheap. Taxi ride from the hotle to the airport cost £30 euro for a 20min journey.

Lovely hotel!

Posted 26-Nov-2014
Everything from start to finish our trip was absolutely brilliant! The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful but the hotel itself it's very beautiful astonishing. I must say we love the guy who was making the freshly omelettes at the breakfast buffet it was delicious and he was so nice and friendly he took the time to bring me a nice piece of cake with a candle and sang me happy birthday as it was my actual bday that day the whole reason we went to Cyprus but we'll definitely be back, we had an amazing trip and a very nice experience :)

Hotel Retreat

Posted 05-Nov-2014
Entrance to hotel very impressive. Staff are always willing to help. Pleased they had speciality restaurants (as well as buffet restaurant) as we do prefer fine dining. Only negative not in a very good spot if you wanted to go for a nice stroll, we were however aware of this. Would say it was value for money and would recommend it to others.

Wonderful Hotel

Posted 01-Nov-2014
Pros: Everything. The staff were so friendly, the food delicious (we had the buffet every night) the selection was so great & each evening was themed.
Cons: I wish there had been hot plates at breakfast as usually by the time you got back to eat it the food was cold. Hot plates or hot containers would help
Location: We did walk into Paphos on 1 occasion but this proved too much for us but the bus was easy to get from the harbour (615) and only cost 1-50 each
My husband and I wanted a real bit of luxury as our year had been horrendous. Something drew me to this hotel and I didn't even look at any others. (I usually check out hundreds before I make up my mind) I read a few reviews and thought this is the one for us. I wish I had not had to come home. It was the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in and the staff could not do enough for you. Everything about it is wonderful. Our flight was delayed by 2 hours which meant we had missed the evening meal. No trouble, a cold spread of cheese, meats and pickles with rolls was delivered to our room. We will certainly be going back and for longer than a week next time.

Nice break good food

Good services, excellent food, drinks at the bar are too expensive, should have heated pool and the free internet is a bit of a joke ( too slow)

Elysium Hotel, Paphos, Cyprus

Posted 26-Oct-2014
Pros: It was all first class.
Cons: We have no criticism, so all is very good as it is.
Location: The hotel is about two miles from the centre of Paphos and is situated on the coast with a private beach access.
This was our first stay at this hotel, but we have experienced similar properties in Cyprus in past years. We booked a half-board package through Expedia which utilised a scheduled flight from Edinburgh on Easyjet. Our flight arrived late in the evening so we had missed dinner, but a very good cold plate was delivered to our room and at check-in we were given a slight up-grade to a partial seaview room. This was a standard double, but very spacious with furnished balcony and king-sized bed. It was well equipped and proved to be extremely comfortable; well up to an international five star standard. This same level of satisfaction can be applied to all other aspects of this hotel. We experienced a very enjoyable weeks holiday at this excellent hotel.

almost perfect.

Posted 29-Sep-2014
Pros: Everything.
Cons: we had a late flight on sunday at 10.05pm and had to book out by 12 noon. We requested a late stay but this would have cost 60 euros.
Location: The area has numerous restaurants a short walk from the hotel. Beautiful sea side path to the port and lighthouse. Near Tombs of the Kings.
We arrived late evening to the inviting castle like entrance and immediately the service was as it continued throughout to be excellent. We sat and had a welcome glass of lemon drink which was refreshing. On our first morning we had breakfast which was served in the lovely lemonia restaurant. The chef cooking omelettes to order was signing and joking and multi tasking. Cooking 3 omelettes at once and talking to guests and sorting the toast and staff. He was a real character. We then collected our towels from the Spa and proceeded to the pool. A lot of towels had been placed on beds reserving them. We complained and immediately this was addressed. We sat where we wanted and the following morning each guest had a letter explaining the policy of not reserving sun beds. The weather was fresh and invigorating. We swam in the hotel pool and the beach at the bottom of the lovely landscaped gardens. Everything was exceptionally clean. The cleaners in the rooms were absolutely brilliant.

Beautiful property and excellent service

Posted 21-Sep-2014
Had a fantastic stay at the Elysium. It is a beautiful property. The breakfast is plentiful, the rooms are very comfortable, and the service is superb. We even got offered a courtesy room after checkout as we had a late flight! The highlights include the themed nights with great buffet and live entertainment and the Epicurean restaurant and the Martini night by the sea!

5* definitely

Posted 03-Sep-2014
Pros: Staff. Food quality. Atmosphere in lounge area. Pool. Easy to get a lounger at any time of day. Very clean room.
Cons: Keeping buffet food hot throughout dining hours.
Location: Very close to Tomb of the Kings and can pick up hop on off tourist bus there. Quiet location, with lawn facing ocean.
Chose this hotel based on reviews I had seen. Excellent choice. Staff are very friendly and helpful and would always say good morning etc to you with a smile. I chose to eat at all the restaurants and with the exception of the buffet I would recommend them all and the only issue with the buffet was that we arrived late on the first night and the food was not hot (quality of food was there though.) Others have pointed out that it is expensive to eat and drink in the hotel and I would agree, however when the quality of food and friendliness of staff is at this level I would not complain: you pay for what you get and in this case the food and overall experience was excellent. Outside there were staff to help move loungers and umbrellas, as well as to provide refreshments.
