Hotel in a good central position Easy walks

Posted 08-Jan-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Needs a make over
Location: Unfortunately lots of activities closed for winter, had a great jeep safari, through area
Hotel definately needs a make over looks shabby in parts. Definately favours older people. Staff very good, friendly and helpful especially Hillar who reccommended a trip to a winery (Tsangarides)Well worth going to this winery the owner was very passionate about wine and spent a lot of time explaining the various aspects of grape growing and production of wine. Usual sunbed problems with most being claimed before breakfast but nobody in sight for ages.

Excellent Hotel!

Posted 28-Oct-2013
Pros: The setting combined with wonderful staff.
Cons: Unaware!
Location: Proximity to shore, harbour and walks.
The setting, ambiente and staff make this an outstanding hotel. In particular, the staff were exceptionally efficient but more importantly friendly and kind from the welcoming door men, to the Reception team and dining room team. All adding up to a homely and warm experience.

The perfect holiday

Posted 13-Oct-2013
Pros: Very close to local amenities, the staff were friendly and helpful (the receptionists were a bit snooty), and the whole of the hotel was open & airy.
Cons: Tea making facilities in the bedrooms would be nice!
Location: Plenty of places to eat & drink in Paphos, very easy to catch a bus to Old Paphos or Coral Bay or wherever, and lots of trips off the seafront.
What a relaxing and completely pleasurable few days. It was so laid back! Even though the hotel appeared to be nearly full, it was run with an invisible air of perfect order and relaxation. It was very nice as we were almost the youngest guests as most people were in their 50's, 60's and above. Although we obviously went when the schools have gone back, it was perfect as there were very few children in the hotel.

Annabelle Hotel

Posted 28-Aug-2013
Pros: The Annabelle decor is lovely clean and bright with a beautiful view overlooking the harbour. The staff were wonderful. Breakfasts were delicious.
Cons: Have more European tourists. Mostly English (like moi) and Russian!
Location: Easy access to Paphos town with excellent restaurants, the harbour, the Mosaics which is UNESCO world heritage, and all sea sport facilties.
Our time at the Annabelle has been the most relaxing holiday I have had in a long time. The most wonderful hotel, lovely staff, fantastic location with easy access to Paphos town and the Mosaics as a UNESCO World Heritage site. And to have the freedom to use the facilities at the Almyra (another lovely hotel) was a major plus. Swimming in the sea was an absolute pleasure for snorkelling and swimming safely, being a large area protected by sea walls and so clean with all types of fish and the coral. Easy access to all activities such as parasailing. Paphos itself is a lovely town - lively and safe for families to walk around and enjoy along with local people.

Exemplary service

Posted 10-Aug-2013
Pros: The service; the people.
Cons: The temperature of the pools... the water was too warm to be refreshing.
Location: On the beachfront and within comfortable walking distance to the town; it was great not to have to worry about renting cars and bikes...
The hotel itself is in a beautiful setting; the gardens and pool areas are lovely; it doesn't have your typical beachfront but the hotel's own beach lawn is very comfortable, with trees for shade if you want it, and the sea in the little bay front of the hotel was perfect. Everything was fine but what stood out for us as truly exemplary was the quality of the service and the attitude of the staff; without exception everyone was so kind, caring, attentive and friendly! We had a wonderful time, most of all because we felt so welcomed and cared for! We will be back...

Nice hotel but you certainly pay for it

Posted 04-Aug-2013
Pros: Lots of nice touches, cant fault the quality of the hotel.
Cons: The view and building work starting at 8am.
Location: seaview good but didn't like the area outside, too commercialised for me.
Stayed overnight for a wedding, asked for early check in of 11 instead of 2 as wedding was at 330, Hotel wanted to charge 50Euros for thi although they stated 100 euro was the norm!!!!. Was very disappointed and told them so. They eventually withdrew the charge and the room was ready for 11am. However it had a view of a building site but as I was only there for one night and hardly in the room this didn't bother me. staff very nice and attentive and buffet breakfast and dining excellent. Mind you at 185 Euro for a single room so it should be. Wedding reception was excellent, food plentiful and superb, DJ very good. Pathos too comercialised for me and was happy to return to my holiday destination of Polis. Sleepy but lots of nice tavernas serving excellent Cypriot food.
