Beautiful Hotel Close to the Sea

Posted 21-Oct-2014
Pros: Excellent location, very clean, very helpful staff.
Cons: We had a wonderful time and were very happy with our experience. We didn't watch much television but the one time we did the image froze.
Location: The hotel has amazing views from the garden. We lay on our sunbeds and watched the many boats on the sea. It's within close proximity of the centre.
We had a wonderful week at the Almyra on a bed and breakfast basis. The room was lovely and very well cared for. Towels were replaced three times a day. The breakfast was fantastic and we were very well looked after by the breakfast team. We sampled the snack menu by the pool and it was very tasty, delivered promptly to our sunbeds. The hotel is situated round the bay from the castle and in easy walking distance from the port. Hairdryer, all toiletries, robes and slippers were provided. There are many lovely restaurants close by and we enjoyed eating out every evening.

Faded Glories

Posted 20-Oct-2014
Pros: The glorious entrance hall.
Cons: Sound profing and monitoring of adult clients and family clients.
Location: Walk with the beer belied, tattooed English.
A great entrance, huge foyer, helpful staff. Unfortunately this is not a 5* hotel maybe 3½*.It has large rooms but nothing special. It has inter-connecting doors which are not properly sound proofed so that we could enjoy the crying baby next door. Maybe for a family with small children this is a 5* experience but for adults only we would suggest stay away.

Excellent and very relaxing place to stay

Posted 14-Oct-2014
Pros: The room was comfortable and spacious, with a double shower and very modern. The infinity pool by the spa is very relaxing.
Cons: The only problem was securing a sunbed in the morning, but if you got up early enough you could definitely secure one for the day.
Location: The hotel is a 3-5 minute walk from the main restaurants and bars on the harbour in Paphos. I visited the mosaics, which were interesting.
This hotel is perfect for relaxation and luxury. I decided to go for it with this hotel and it was definitely worth the extra money than a standard hotel. The breakfasts were incredible, you could have anything from freshly cooked crepes and waffles to a full english breakfast, fruits and yoghurts, or cold meats and cheeses. I would definitely recommend this hotel and i can't wait to return!

Excellent Hotel on seafront nice walk to harbour

Posted 06-Oct-2014
Pros: Staff, location and the adult pool
Cons: The buffet breakfast was good, but would have appreciated something fishy on the menu.
Location: Great seafront location, with restaurants, and lots of others in walking distance. Airport bus stops close by only 1.5 euros each way.
Staff very friendly and efficient. Although not having children we noticed at breakfast the staff took time to talk to the children. Also thought it was good to have an adult only swimming pool, away from the family pool, this is well designed to make it look like you are in the sea. Sun beds were well spaced out. The location is great for watching sunset over the harbour.

Lovely Hotel, great design= a lovely holiday

Posted 05-Oct-2014
Pros: The design of the interior and exterior, the hotel restaurants, the food and the relaxing feeling by the pool, the sun loungers, the view from room
Cons: There were a couple of areas that did look a little tired in our room especially our bathroom but thats just being very picky.
Location: see above
We stayed at the Almyra for 8 nights (just bed and breakfast - half board was an option but we chose not to) and it was lovely, very well designed interior & exterior and the staff were fantastic! I would definitely recommend this hotel for people with children and also for couples on their own as the Spa facility (adults only) looked amazing. Whilst the other facilities were great for children and lots to do. Our 4 year old son loved every minute of our holiday- especially the swimming pool and the restaurant by the sea Ouzeri. The staff were extremely lovely to him especially the ladies at breakfast and the pool guys - thank you to you all. The buffet breakfast is the best we've had and food was delicious - such a variety too. The hotel's location is good however we would prefer somewhere a little less touristy however we did know that this would be the case when we booked. There are some lovely eateries in amongst the touristy pubby bars and KCF and Pizza Hut you just have to ask reception or do some research on Tripadvisor. Although I do understand that some people would love KFC and pizza hut right on the doorstep but its just not our cup of tea. The pool and gardens are great and there is a little babies/children's pool too which is in close proximity of the main pool. There is a ping pong table and also a play area ( although we didn't even venture that far- which is really say something when we have our four year old little boy with us, but we really didn't need to)

Soulless 4 star at best hotel

Posted 29-Sep-2014
Whilst the duty manager Marie was extremely helpful and pleasant this hotel is by no means 5 star the rooms clean, but not comfortable. Dressing table with no mirror, warm mini bar, aircon not functioning and maintenance man a no show. We tried to order room service and we're told they'd call us back, they didn't. The pool is covered, so many small factors that really let this hotel down, please do not be fooled by the star rating, this is by no means 5 star. The hotel looks cool and chic on photographs but sadly resembles a lifeless box with no atmosphere, comfort or life about the place! So disappointing on our honeymoon

the best holiday i have ever had!

Posted 29-Sep-2014
Pros: how clean it was, the layout, the concept, the decor, the staff.
Cons: nothing!
Location: there is water sports, bars, places to eat, harbour with fresh fish caught on the day, a fort at the end.
the entire holiday, was absolutely perfect! i shared the same view with my partner who came with me, we couldn't fault a single thing about the hotel, the staff or the area. there was plenty to do, the weather was lovely and the food was brilliant! the locals bend over backwards and ensure that you are having the best time and experience possible. our room was cleaned three times a day, or checked on. if we had any questions they were answered, and the efficiency of staff was exceptional. id return to papahos and the almyra hotel tomorrow if we could! also the best massage ive ever had at there award winning spa! thank you to the staff and locals for making it a wonderful holiday

Amazing

Kids and adults will love it! There are kids clubs which allow you to have some time in the spa and infinity pool
