I stayed at this location for 2 nights. The best thing about the resort, in my opinion, is the beach. It is a huge white sand beach on a very quiet side of the island. If you want to hang out with and meet locals, this is not the side of the island you want to be on. It is also too far to walk to get to the many dive shops that are located at Danao beach. They do offer their own dive excursions, apparently. There is a table set up to arrange scuba diving outings, but no one ever showed up. Eventually, I took a ride to Danao beach were there are many dive shops and dove 5 times in two days.
The resort does a little price gouging when it comes to beer, pop, or money exchange. In fact, the money exchange is terrible. They offered 38 pesos per dollar. In Tagbilaran the same day, the rate was 43 pesos per dollar. Exact same beer, pop, and snacks are about half price if you leave the resort and walk to the top of the hill and buy from the locals.
Other than that, the AC was cold, the water in the shower was hot. The bed was too firm for my taste. The light in the bathroom must have been about 15 watts only. It felt like being in a cave. The TV was snowy on every channel except for the NBA channel. I didn't go there to watch television so this was not a big deal.
There is still no power on the island, but the hotel does have a generator that supplies power to the rooms after dark. I felt like the price was worth the cost of the room.
