Staff was very friendly and welcoming and we were given snacks and drinks on arrival! Great location for us to go to the Matansuka glacier the next day.

Nice layout, easy check-in and easy check-out. Park right next to the door of the room. Cabins are new and quite nice. Nothing super fancy, but well equipped and perfect for what I need. I stay here every time I’m in Palmer.

A fantastic little motel to stay for short or long term. The staff were friendly and always caring. The rooms are greatly cared for and kept up. If you ever need a place to stay in this part of Alaska, this is the place to stay.

A great value. I have paid a lot more for lodging with a lot less going for it. It was great for the basics. Clean. Comfortable bed. Great shower. Very nice staff.

The Pioneer Motel is an old motel that has been kept up very well. It is very clean and has no bugs.. While it is in an older area, we felt safe there. It had a microwave, a refrigerator and a little kitchenette area. If you stay here, walk across the street to the Big dipper ice cream shop. It is so good. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice place! Great staff!
The room was super clean and tidy, a really nice spacious place to spend the night before heading up for walking on the Matanuska glacier. The manager Linda Rose was really nice and friendly! :)

The lady at the front desk was very informative & friendly, and check-in was a breeze. The room was great: clean, super comfy beds, and roomy. It had blackout curtains which were a plus with the long Alaskan daylight hours. The only minor drawback was the light traffic noise as the motel is close to the road. Earplugs took care of that though. Overall I would definitely stay here again!

It's an older motel but has been updated very nicely. Very clean room and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this reasonably priced motel

The owner and her staff are very friendly. The motel is older but the room was homey and very clean. The only downfall is the street out front. It is very busy but i am pretty sure it is because the state fair is going on. Will stay again.

We had let them know we were going to be late getting in and they were fine with that. Waited up for when we arrived and was still very pleasant, told us what was still open so we could get something to eat. Actually stayed one night and then were back there two nights later for another stay. Both times were very pleasant to deal with.
