Clean. Good location. Had everything we needed. Slightly dated. Shower head a little low and stove too close to wall. Could do with air conditioner as very hot at night. Would recommend.

Very clean unit. Weather was poor so coulda done with a better Heater and more choice of TV channels.
Wow. Could not believe the view we had for the price we paid. Booked a studio but it felt bigger being so self contained. We had everything we needed for our three night stay with dining area, full kitchen and couch. Room was comfortable and the shower excellent. We really enjoyed the ambience of this motel. Walking distance to everything. We opened the curtains every morning and just enjoyed the seaview. Even though motel is situated near main road, from our upstairs unit we did not hear any road noise. Highly recommended
We have stayed here on 3 or 4 previous occasions in the past. We came back here because of the ideal location and comfort of the motel. As always we were welcomed in a very friendly manner and offers of any assistance we may have wanted was offered. Full cooking facilities and utensils are provided and the furnishings are comfortable. We stayed in a unit overlooking the Bay with just a five minute stroll to local restaurants and shops. We did unfortunately have a slight mishap in the unit which would have resulted in some extra cleaning, but our offer to pay for any additional costs was declined. We will certainly return here on our next visit to Paihia.

Great Views
Central for everything, great sea views. Kitchen and BBQ, outside seating. OK for a couple of days stays, no drawers, small area for hanging clothes. Interior a little tired.

Location was excellenet, room was clean. Needs air conditioning and tidying up. Hosts need to be a little more organised.
Great location. Very close to the wharf and shops of Paihia. We had a sea facing studio room and the view was spectacular. Great kitchen facilities. Would definitely stay here again.
We didn’t get to stay due to a water leak in our room.. They sent us to their other property.. The other property was very poor. Hair in the shower, white doona cover that was stained yellow..
Spacious and very close to the wharf and shopping area. Separate bedroom and plenty of room in the lounge area. Very well equipped kitchenette and cleaning was of a high standard

Staff where friendly. Room was OK. Some black mold on ceiling over toilet/shower. Light over toilet would only work some times. Please stop using curly bulbs they are unattractive and LED are better energy savers.
Need more channels for TV or go Internet TV
I will certainly go there again but will not book through you as you charge too much! Next time I’ll choose a company who charges less or make my booking direct with any motel I wish to visit.

No air conditioning and I think we had the worst room on site. Weren’t looking for something cheap and when we saw the front room there was no comparison. Ask for front room with a view, you won’t be disappointed!
Great! close to the beach,cruise,shopping,eateries
our stay was comfortable. location is very convenient as its close to most things people would like to visit and see. my special thanks to Graham and Johanna for taking the trouble to promptly courier out our keys that we left behind, on the same day. with much gratitude.

Stayed New Years Eve. Close to town with unrestricted viewing of the Bays fireworks. A little buzzing town with markets and lots of cafes and restaurants.
I booked an apartment, and the lady at reception added $30 per child to the bill. With multiple kids these charges almost doubled my booking rate. I could have booked Heritage at the price. When I asked for Manager she told me she was the one and I had no other recourse.
I could not park in the parking garage and was asked to move my car out as the hotel wanted to put their boat in. I had to park in a very tight spot despite the garage was empty for the next 2 days. The spa is in dark and dungy area with bugs all around so it was unusable.
The rooms were OK but beware if you use the table/chairs you could be set back by $799. Literally this was what the note said on the table. Buyer beware of any number of charges that can be added to you overall bill. The next 2 properties are highly rated and one has a good pool facing the sea.

The guest made their reservation through Expedia whose website is very clear with regard to accommodation charges.Had the guest advised Expedia that 3 children would accompany their parents ,the additional charges would have been included from the outset.
We have 14 parking bays for 11 apartments. We can't accommodate guests who bring 2 and 3 vehicles.
I am the owner of Bayview and was not aware that I owned a boat. The boat in question belonged to a guest who specifically reserved a garage parking space for his boat.
Our spa is serviced daily and the water balance tested. There are no bugs in evidence although I'm sure the odd fly does sneak in for a dip.
Withholding the true guest total when booking,on arrival there will be additional charges as applied by almost all motels in New Zealand.

Grandstand views of bay and its activities.
Very good in all respects with the exception of some much needed maintenance of window and internal door track/latch. Shower a bit weak.

Thank you for those kind comments. On your recommendation we have given all latches a lube. The sea air plays havoc with aluminium. We recently replaced the hot water cylinder in this apartment and the plumber had not opened the hot/cold supply fully. Now back to full pressure.Nothing worse than a weak trickle for a shower.
We had Studio Room 8 which was perfect for two adults, plus it had a sofa bed which could become a double. The room has a large shared terrace with Room 9 but there was nobody staying in that unit during the 5 nights we were there. We had a lovely view of the harbour and there was always something to look at. Beaches are nearby and there are plenty of bars and restaurants within an easy stroll. The small town of Paihia has some very nice shops and there are a couple of supermarkets. Russell is only a 10 minute ferry ride away and the Paihia wharf is an easy walk from Bayview. The Reception people are friendly and very helpful with your advice. Our unit was well appointed and extremely comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Thankyou for your kind words. You stayed in one of our best apartments.I advise all future guests when booking to ask for apartment 8 or 9.The sea view is amazing.
Motel is in a great location. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was very large and well equipped with kitchen items. Would definitely stay there again.
