Perfect Location

Great getaway from cold Boston
Had a great time at this property with my teenage son for a quick getaway from Boston. The apartment was clean and easily accessible. The kitchen is basic but can be used for making small meal/tea/coffee. Enjoyed the pool and the company of very cute dog/cat! Would definitely book again!!

We enjoyed our visit to Bermuda but were disappointed with the suite. It was damp, musty and had ants in the kitchen area. There was no table and chairs to sit if wanting to have a meal together. The host said there was no heat in the place and offered a hot water bottle. We had to ask to have the air conditioning unit plugged in which does have a heat setting which was much needed to dry the place out enough to be somewhat comfortable for sleeping. The instructions in the book say to keep the windows open during the day but there is only one openable window in the bathroom so no way for the air to flow through. The laundry wasn’t in very good condition, dryer vent seemed to not get emptied by host, we had to clean it after they used it. Host asks to pay extra for laundry, we only did two loads in 2 weeks so hopefully we don’t get an extra charge. The place really could use some updating and a good cleaning.

Wildbird Cottage is fantastic!

The people that own and operate this place are extremely friendly. We had the best time of any vacation we have ever taken in which we take at least two a year and this has gone on for many years we rented scooters and the island was ours to explore best vacation ever.

Quick Bermuda getaway
Suzi was a great host and we enjoyed our stay at the wild bird cottage. The bedroom and bathroom were cute and tidy and the pool was a vibe. Perfect place for a budget friendly sun-scape. Be aware - I wouldn’t categorize this a completely private/entire place stay. It’s a private bedroom in a shared home. You share the laundry/kitchenette area and pool with the hosts. The dog and cat are very chill and lovely companions, but it’s clear they are allowed in the room/premises. Be aware there are several doors/access points from the hosts quarters to the guest area - so smells and sounds travel.

This is the perfect place for a couples' retreat, and it is in the best location. The Wild Bird Guest house is quiet and in a peaceful and friendly neighborhood. The neighborhood's access to their own private beach is a short walk away. It is only about a block away from a bus stop, and the bus drivers are very friendly and helpful. The bus system is a great way to get around the island and save money. The Wild Bird Guest house is also very close to the Ice Queen. We were surprised how much of Bermuda closes early at night. Most shops and some restaurants are closed by 5 or 6. It was very convenient staying right next to the Ice Queen - we could purchase an evening treat/snack on our way in for the evening. Everything at the Wild Bird Guest House was exactly as described. Suzi is very helpful and quick to answer questions or provide suggestions or advice as needed. Oggy is the friendliest dog! Every time we returned back to the guest house, Oggy was at our door waiting to greet us. If you're looking for a quiet/romantic getaway, the Wild Bird Guest house is a perfect choice.

Wild bird cottage
The property is gorgeous and Suzi makes you feel right at home. It is close to the bus stop and walking distance to a beautiful private beach. It is very quiet and the space is very comfy. We slept so good and were very relaxed and busy touring the island.

We had such an incredible stay here in Bermuda. Suzi was so helpful and friendly, and the home was perfect. We were provided great suggestions for our stay and the location was ideal. Mid-winter getaway
The accommodation was ideal for our requirements: good size bedroom/living room; well appointed kitchen and cooking facilities; spacious bathroom. Lovely pool (bracing in early Feb.) with distant views down to the ocean. Lovely private beach less than 10 min. walk. Hamilton city centre easily accessible by regular bus service (10 min. ride). Suzi is a delightful hostess and Oggie the English pointer is great company!

Everything we were looking for!
We spent a long weekend at Wild Bird Cottage, and hated to leave :) I want to say it felt just like home -- but it was better! The room and grounds are even more beautiful than the pictures show. Having Oggy (Suzi's handsome English Pointer) greet us every morning was a bonus. It was close to everything we wanted to do. We walked into Hamilton for great dining and a little grocery shopping, and rented a Tazzari for two days to get to Dockyards, Clearwater Beach, and Horseshoe Beach. Next time we would skip the Tazzari and use the bus, which is just at the end of the street. One of our favorite days was our "chill" day hanging out at the pool (with Oggy, of course!) and at the private Grape Bay Beach just a short walk away. Suzi is a wonderful, friendly, and accommodating host. Enjoy your stay at Wild Bird Cottage -- we certainly did!

Amazing Wild Bird Cottage
Wonderful host. Beautiful home. Having access to a pool is a huge perk if visiting in the summer. Grape Bay beach is an easy walk and private. No crowds. Wild Bird is centrally located, easy to get to south shore beaches, Hamilton, really anywhere on the island. We like using the bus. This was our second visit with Suzie and we are already dreaming about our next visit. Highly recommended!

Week in paradise
What a great week! The place is just as pictured and described. Must like animals (sweeties). Pool is great, the bed is comfy, and the private beach is the best we visited on the island. We rented a scooter just down the street for the week, which was great for getting around (not for the faint of heart though!). The grocery market is just down the street, easy walk. And, the Railway Trail goes right by the house for great walks and jogs. Great tasting water, plenty of towels, and the AC for sleeping was perfect. We will definitely be back! Looking for good food? We liked Ruby Murry in Hamilton (take away Indian) and Village Pantry in Flatts Inlett best. Thanks Suzi!

Spent a week at Wild Bird, a modern apartment attached to an old Bermuda home situated on a beautiful estate. Location is very central so convenient for day trips to either end of the island and only a few minutes from Hamilton, yet set well out of earshot for traffic so very peaceful. The apartment opens on to a pool and a large private beach is about a 10 minute walk. Hostess Suzi was very helpful and accommodating. Enjoyed my stay and would book again.

Wonderful property!
Wild Bird is an exceptional property. Well- appointed bedroom and bathroom and a lovely pool a step away. Convenient kitchen, too. The host, Suzi, was very gracious and helpful. The property is close to everything - restaurants, a grocery store, the Railway Trail (great for a walk or run), and two beautiful beaches. You can even walk to Hamilton. I highly recommend Wild Bird!

Perfect Location, Beautiful Place, Superb Host
Suzi's Wild Bird Cottage was perfect. Located centrally in the island, and closest to the best beaches, it was a perfect jumping off point for exploring the whole island and popping into Hamilton for a night out. There is a private neighborhood beach as well, just a 5 - 10 minute walk down a side road and you are at your own private paradise. When we didn't want to head down to the beach, the pool was glorious, just outside our door, perfect for a quick dip and laying out to enjoy the scenery. Suzi was a wonderful host as well, ensuring that we had some food available when we arrived (Covid kept us from picking anything up immediately) and providing recommendations when needed. Oggy the dog was also a great host, providing us with companionship while in the pool area. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place for our trip to Bermuda. We're looking forward to returning!

Serene and relaxing
Suzi is a kind, gracious and welcoming host. Wild Bird Cottage is as beautiful as the photos depict. The neighborhood beach, Grape Bay, is a 5min walk away and we had it to ourselves! The cottage is conveniently located. There is a bus stop at the end of the road and a grocery store just a 5min walk. Hamilton is a 15 minute walk. The buses are easy to use and Horseshoe Bay is a short ride away. I would highly recommend Wild Bird Cottage to anyone planning a trip to Bermuda.

A Relaxing Getaway
We enjoyed our stay at Wild Bird Cottage. Suzi is an absolutely wonderful hostess – we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Oggy is such a sweet dog, and we really enjoyed his personality! The kitchenette is well-appointed and with a grocery store within walking distance, it was easy to keep our food budget within reason. The bus stop is a short walk down to the bottom of the hill, so it was very easy to get around the island. The accommodations are spacious, with a comfortable bed. The back yard was quite relaxing, and we were only a short walk from a lovely private beach! It felt very homey and comforting, and we were very glad that we decided to stay with Suzi. We would definitely stay there again – an idyllic spot to relax and enjoy the beauty that is Bermuda!

My husband and I loved Susan’s “Wild Bird Cottage”!!!! Private and cozy. Warm and welcoming experience. Highly recommend. Location is not very far from Hamilton which has the best restaurants, lots of shopping and attractions. If you like beautiful powder sand beaches, snorkeling and boating, Susan’s location is near it all!! Also I highly recommend renting the Twizy car. Excellent stay, your own apartment, access to pool and beautiful yard, and Oggy the sweetest dog welcome you. The location is central, which is great if you want to tour around the island for a few days like we did. Close to Hamilton on the scooter as well, for shopping or diner. Great value for money if you ask me... we loved our stay here! Thanks again Suzi.

Quiet and relaxing location, close to Hamilton
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Wild Bird. The host is warm and inviting, and the pets are a perk to such a lovely place to stay. The accommodations are clean and comfortable. While the weather wasn't ideal during my stay - raining nearly my entire three day stay, I enjoyed touring the island and then unwinding here. I'm quite glad to stay here.

Great Stay in Bermuda
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wild Bird. The guest apartment and backyard pool were great. The guest apartment is attached to the house, and there are two doors that allow passage between to the main home and guest apartment. The only downside to this is that its easy to hear any noise in the main home and vice versa, I'm sure. Just makes the experience feel a little less private. The location was fantastic and made it easy to access all points on the island. It's also situated on the top of quiet residential hillside community, so it provided us with the privacy we wanted. Short and beautiful walk down a lane to a spectacular beach with hardly anyone there. Rail trail access easy too, so perfect for walks or runs. Two grocery stores and scooter rental shops located within easy walking distance. You will need to make sure you like pets, as there are two dogs and one cat that live on site, but they are super friendly. They came to visit us regularly and kept us company throughout the day. One of the dogs is quite old yet sweet as can be; however, we did absentmindedly relieve himself several times poolside, which detracted from the poolside experience. The caretaker did take care of this and cleaned up when it was brought to her attention. Overall, a wonderful stay and hope to return again soon!
