Fantastic location
Beautiful place, perfect for beach, it really is 2 mins walk. Beautiful sandy beach, dog friendly. The house was just perfect, we stayed 2 weeks, only thing I would say is could have done with a bigger freezer. Definitely be back!

Lovely holiday cottage
Lovely accommodation in a great location, really close to the beautiful beach at Harlyn Bay. The cottage had everything we needed, the owners have thought of everything. Only criticism is it could have been a bit cleaner. Nothing drastic - crumbs on the worktops and a bit dusty. We had a great week and would definitely return.

Family holiday in Cornwall
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Popa Cottage. The cottage is well positioned in the beautiful village of Harlyn. The accommodation includes very comfortable beds and reclining sofas, super showers, a brilliant kitchen with everything you need (which you don't always find in holiday homes!) and a lovely sunny courtyard garden, which is well protected from the coastal winds. Derek, the host, made booking and arrival very straightforward, and the wine, biscuits and dog treats were a lovely surprise! We highly recommended it!

The property contained everything that one could possibly need. We also appreciated the welcoming touches of a bottle of wine for the adults and treats for the dog! The slightly acrid aroma from the master bathroom toilet was a little strong but suspect that this is something that cannot be overcome and was not caused by any lack of hygiene. There were a few areas where the cleaner had missed the spot - those dusty corners we all miss no matter how good our cleaning might be. I would suggest that the owners log the last user out of Netflix and Prime. Overall the property was excellent and we would definitely condider a return visit!

Beautiful setting. Nice property with everything you need. Bathrooms both had great showers and beds comfy so not much else required for a week at the seaside. Only issue was Property not overly clean which was a disappointment especially when you can’t check in until 4pm due to cleaners. Food under sofas and lots of cobwebs / dust. Shame as with a proper clean this would have been a 5star review for everything. Would definitely book again though

Brilliant family holiday
We had a lovely peaceful holiday. This cottage is well appointed for 4/5 people with plenty of space indoor and out. Being able to walk to the beach in less than 5 minutes was great too!

Really close to a beautiful beach
With two small children, I just wanted somewhere really close to a beach and this was perfect. Beach was about 2 minutes and lovely and sandy. House was great, beds were comfy, TV and WiFi worked.

Lovely location
Just returned from a weeks stay. Really enjoyed it. The accommodation was spacious and well equipped and clean. Beds very comfortable. The beach is less than 5 minutes walk away which really added to our enjoyment. It’s a beautiful beach which is also dog friendly. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others. The only thing we maybe found less than ideal was the lack of enclosed outdoor space for the dog at the cottage. Wasn’t a huge problem. We walked him so much he was glad to sleep when in the cottage! But it did mean that we couldn’t leave the door open in the warm weather. Just something to bear in mind if this may be an issue for you but otherwise was faultless. Thank you for such a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Lovely little cottage by the sea.
We had an early autumn stay at Popa and the weather was fantastic. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed. We arrived at night so a sensor light at the back would have been helpful but apart from that the place was perfect. Location was just right as it's only a few minutes walk to the beach and well located for touring most of Cornwall. A small place so not too many people but close enough to Padstow for shops and restaurants. Will be more than happy to stay there again.

We were after a quiet few days away to read, rest and enjoy walks on the beaches of Cornwall, Popa cottage delivered on all our hopes. The location to Harlyn bay beach was great! The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable. No doubt we will be back.

We stayed here in the first week of Sept 2021. Firstly, it is in a great location, very close to a stunning beach. Popa Cottage exceeded my expectations. It was very spacious, we had 4 adults and a dog. It was very well equipped and very clean. Lovely decor and we could not have wished for better. Derek was brilliant at communication and replied quickly to my e mails.. I would love to stay here again but I fear my review may make it so popular, it will be booked up forever. Thank you.

Ideal Location and lovely property!
Property was much bigger and better equipped than I first thought - and really lovely and clean on arrival. Perfect location for the lovely beach, nearby fishing, the Camel trail, Bedruthan Steps (closed this time around), Padstow, the Travellers Rest and the Cornish Arms. Such a good base for exploring! TV with Netflix was a bonus and the instant hot water all the time really welcomed. A BBQ on the beach with fish we caught off Trevose Head was a real highlight. Thank you Derek and Stephanie - we will be back!

Close to a beautiful beach
Overall a very comfortable stay. It was fresh and clean and in a nice complex of holiday cottages. The beach was close by but along a very busy lane, which was not great with two buggies. I was surprised there was no salt, pepper, sugar or dishwasher tablets and would recommend that future guests bring extra tea towels and j-cloths.

Good size cottage on a really good location as ~2 minutes walking to the beach, restaurants and ~10min to central Padstow. or ~30min away for any other interesting site. The cottage has the basics for a good and comfy stay. We did not have any trouble or issue. We enjoyed our time there. 100% recommended.

Great location - ideal holiday cottage
This is a lovely property only a short walk from one of Cornwall's finest beaches (and a short drive to several others) which has something for everyone. The cottage has everything that a family needs in terms of facilities. It is a pity that the local pub (walking distance) is closed for re-development but there are other eating places (sit in or take away) a short drive away and Padstow is only a 10 minute drive and walk away - albeit that it was very crowded last week. We had a great week despite the weather although that did mean we were able to witness some wild seas

We have just had a mini break at Popa Cottage. The accommodation was lovely - very clean and comfortable with all the equipment and utensils you could wish for on a self catering break. We loved everything about Popa Cottage and the surrounding area - shame the local pub was closed and boarded up but this didn’t detract from our enjoyment. The property manager was excellent with his communication and sorted our issue with the WiFi immediately- thank you. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Popa Cottage in fact have already done so and if we ever come to stay in the Padstow area again this is where we will be

We had a lovely week at Popa cottage. It was like home from home, very comfortable with plenty of space and very convenient for Harlyn Bay. We were also lucky with the weather despite one day of heavy mist, when we travelled south to find glorious sunshine again!

This property is a wonderful location for any surfing/ body boarding family- it's only a minutes walk. The beach was lifeguarded at certain times of the day. The property was very well equipped and was clean and comfy. Parking was excellent- right outside the backdoors. The owners were very prompt at replying to any questions we had.
