Fine location to Orlando's attractions

Posted 17-Apr-2015
Welcoming staff on arrival, amenities close by for all groceries, restaurant and bar with great family pool area. Our townhouse well equipped and large enough to accommodate my family of four. All public areas within the grounds were kept clean and maintained. Did however leave a maintenance call with reception that was not dealt with or resolved during our stay. Overall very happy with our stay.

Pros: The staff were exceptionally pleasant and on hand all day and night
Cons: A better inspection of the property by the Resort staff should be carried out before renting it out.
Location: A pleasant drive to Disney, Seaworld and Universal Studios. So many places to eat nearby.
The townhouse we stayed in was riddled with bugs, the staff did respond by saying that they would get the exterminator out. Luckily, we had a packed agenda , so weren't 'home' most of the time. The walls of the property are thin. If you live in a semi-detached or townhouse from the UK, you will easily cope with the adjoining noise from neighbours. The development is pleasant, the facilities of the pool, lazy river, spa gym etc are good. The staff are very polite and accommodating. The location is close to shops, restaurants etc. Compared to other places that we have stayed around the Davenport / Clermont / Kissimmee area we felt that it was a little overpriced but pleasant nonetheless.

No supplies given in room except one towel per guest. Pool area too small to accommodate number of guests.

It's what you make it

Our first impression wasn't great. Worn furniture, dirty carpets. The landscaping wasn't what we were used to at other resorts we have visited. The kids even noticed the trash on the ground. We did however enjoy the many very friendly families we met at the pool. Our two kids made friends, and really enjoyed the lazy river and water slide. Our whole family was sorry to leave, and, despite our initial reaction, we will probably return next year.

Comforts of home

Great if you have children and get tired of eating restaurant food while traveling. TV in every room. Plenty of room for 8 people....couldn't ask for more.

Pros: The pools
Cons: Bar did not have good supply. Beds should have better mattress
Kitchen did not have adequate utensils or pans. Beds had springs poking out of them no chairs to sit outside at townhouse.

Nice rooms, not great staff.

Posted 21-Feb-2015
Pros: Location and room was great
Cons: Game room had more broken machines than working and the girl working was miserable
Location: Disney, Publix
Loved the villa. Went to the pool and was told by the staff there was no towels. Asked when the would be ready and the girl acted like we inconvenienced her by asking.

Our second trip

Posted 16-Feb-2015
Pros: The pool
Cons: Supplies, cleaning, new sofa ( it was filthy and ripped)
Location: We like the location as there is a grocery store and pharmacy nearby (within walking distance)
This was our second vacation to Regal Palms. When we first arrived, our unit had carpet everywhere. I called the office and they quickly changed us to a different unit. This unit was along the Sand Mine Road. At 4 am each morning, hundreds of dump trucks and cement trucks drive by. This even woke up my husband who is a sound sleeper. The shower curtain was covered with mold. The unit we had could accommodate up to 10 pp. Luckily, we were just 4. The dished are all chipped, the dishwasher leaks, there is a bare minimum in the kitchen supplies.. 1 steak knife made it interesting when we had steak for supper. I know from our first visit last year that the maintenance staff is excellent and come quickly. But I shouldn't have to call to advise them of the moldy shower curtain or lack of utensils. Each unit should be inspected prior to being rented. Each unit has a dumpster next to the patio door which makes it not too appealing to sit outside. On the plus side, the pool facility is awesome if weather permits it.

Reasonable priced but not the most ideal location

Needs updated and better grounds cleaning. Beds were horrible but the size of the condo was very nice. Pool is nice but trash doesn't get picked up. I will pay more for a nicer place next year

Nice town houses if you have a big family

Posted 25-Jan-2015
Pros: lots of room for everyone, close to Publix grocery store
Cons: CHECK YOUR UNIT WHEN YOU GET THERE, MAKE SURE THERE IS NO ISSUES WITH IT AND DOCUMENT IT AS THEY HOLD $ 150 DEPOSIT IF ANYTHING BREAKS
Location: about 15 20 min to Disney, good access to I-4 close to Publix grocery store
overall all, nice place to stay if you have a big family, did not use the pool area since it was cold. you are responsible for making your own bed every morning,
