“Does the job fine”
This hotel is very near where our daughter lives. Compared to say the Hyatt Regency, the price was much more affordable. We had a King Suite and other than the fact it's outdoor hallways, the shower from above was very audible, and the bed a tad firm, I had no major issues during my three night stay there. The small restaurant and bar was quite accomodating. Yes, we would stay there again.
“Room had a strange odor and the service was not great.”
Room had a strange odor and the service was not great. The waitress in the restaurant was a bit rough around the edges and could be described as surly at best.
“Not impressed”
We had stayed here before and it was quite nice. This time the staff were not as friendly, the room smelled of cigarette smoke (although they guaranteed that it was a non-smoking room), and it was noisy - full over Veterans' Day weekend.
“Is what it is”
If you have stayed at any Ramada, you've stayed at this one.
“Worst Hotel I've ever stayed at”
I would have preferred to stay at a Motel 6. The room reeked of smoke. I called the front desk and was told that the entire hotel is non-smoking. I was given the choice to move to another room, but it was a pet friendly room. I will admit that I chose to take my chances with my 'non-smoking' room and stayed in that room rather than risk the pet friendly room smelling worse. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and mildew in the shower. The sink was set back so far on the counter that you couldn't plug the drain because the wall was in the way. At least my fiancee could just leave the water running to shave, but it was really wasteful. In addition, the refrigerator was not plugged in when I arrived and the A/C never cooled the room enough for me to be comfortable, no matter how low I turned the thermostat. To top it off, I wanted to order a snack through room service, but was told that you had to have a $10 minimum to have it delivered. I decided to walk down and pick it up. When I arrived the bartender took my order and said I should have called ahead, which didn't seem necessary to me for a bowl of ice cream. It was no big deal though, I sat in the lobby and read the paper for about 20 min, then finally got up to see if it was ready and it had clearly been on the counter for a while because it was already melting. I would cut the bartender some slack if she had customers, but no one was in there and she saw me walk into the lobby. Just a terrible experience all around.
“Great hotel for the price”
I found this hotel to be quite sufficient for our needs. We got a very competitive rate and we weren't sure what that price would look like in terms of location and quality. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel was. The staff was friendly and helpful. The parking lot is well lit. The hotel is located near main highways so getting around isn't too hard. It's by no means a top-shelf hotel and you're not beachfront. But if you're just looking for a clean place to sleep while you're out enjoying the area during the day without blowing your vacation budget, I'd give this hotel a look.
“Good Value, Good Location”
Attended the Sand Sports Super Show. Nice location. Was able to find parking and clean room
“Comfortable stay in a very convenient location”
We like this place because it is reasonably priced, comfortable and in a great location for the beach, dining and shopping. Several suggestions are to put more effort into maintenance: rusting fence at the pool and shower changing from hot to cold and back on its own. We also suggest going back to the free breakfast that was available in past years. It was very good.
“Would go back for its location.”
The hotel accepted my son's service dog very well. The room was a little small for a handicap-accessible room.
“It fit our needs”
This hotel was fine. Pool was great-no free breakfast, room was clean. When we called because bathtub did not empty very fast--maintenance came quickly and fixed problem. Good location. We definitely would go back.
