“"You get what you pay for"”
The hotel served it's purpose for my stay. I believe you get what you pay for, and this case it was true. The rooms were a nice size, and included a fridge and microwave. Can be a little noisy with people walking by your room. I had quite a bit of trouble with my room key not working half the time. It was extremely frustrating. The hotel is old with a few stains here and there on the carpet and in the bathroom. My bed was extremely comfortable and that's what mattered most to me. Not a lot of parking space when the hotel fills up. Not a bad choice if you are trying to save a buck or two. All entrances to rooms are on the outside of the hotel (like an old motel). Only one elevator for 4 floors. By the second day I think I was satisfied. Would I stay there again? If I was strapped for cash, possibly.
“LOVED THE ADVENTURE”
I READ ALL THE REVIEWS ABOUT THE RAMADA AND WAS PRETTY SCARED. I WALKED INTO THE ROOM AND I THOUGHT OH BOY THIS IS PRETTY DARK ( DIM LIGHTING) AND OLD. THE BATHROOM TUB WAS DIRTY ETC AND THE LIST GOES ON BUT I NEEDED TO LOOK AT IT FROM MY KIDS PERSPECTIVE. IT WAS AN ADVENTURE FOR THEM. THEY DIDN'T CARE THEY WERE EXCITED, THE KIDS LOVED THE WAFFLES EVERY MORNING. MY 7 YEAR OLD SON ASKED ME IF I WAS OK WITH RICKETY FURNITURE. I HAD TO LAUGH. I KNEW THIS JOURNEY WAS NOT FOREVER AND I WOULD BE BACK TO MY HOUSE WHERE EVERYTHING IS PERFECT. I WILL SAY THE STAFF WAS GREAT, I FEEL I RECIEVED MORE THAT WHAT I PAID FOR. COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST FOR 5. THE BEDS AND SHEETS WERE CLEAN. A SAFE PLACE TO STAY WITH MY FAMILY AND NO BUGS!!!! THX RAMADA FOR THE WONDERFUL FAMILY VACATION. MY CHILDREN WILL REMEMBER THIS FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES
“So bad, we did NOT stay!”
Just a bit about us: We are a young family, with a daughter who just turned 1 yesterday (15, NOV), our trip was to celebrate this occassion. It was our first time in California & our first time to Disneyland. Hotel staff: The staff memeber greeting us upon our entrance to the hotel--very friendly & courteous. Hotel room---absolutely horrendous! I do not dramatise. The bed linen was old, the carpeting worn, the bathroom---I would not have allowed my family to use it, not even in an emergency unless I had cleaned every nook & cranny w/bleach or something stronger. We walked in, looked round & immediately got on the internet & scoured the Yellow Pages for better accommodations because this RAMADA was NOT it. We refused to place our luggage on the floor because the carpet was so suspect The smell--I cannot put a name to it, however I can tell you it was unpleasant--old, mold, unclean or some mixture of all three. We did not feel safe in this hotel, no matter how many locks they put on that door and comfortable---not even close, we could not leave fast enough!! I absolutely, with NO hesitation would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Even if you are on a budget, it is NOT worth it to stay there! We have stayed @ other RAMADA's before & NEVER had this experience. Whomever is responsible for the upkeep of this particular location has failed times 10. Shame.
“Ok value for the money”
Went to a convention, hotel was close by. You get what you pay for. Breakfast ok. Room not very clean. Hotel dated. Met our needs. Only real issue when we were out came back our room key didn't work went to front desk, they had accidently booked someone else into our room for that day (we stayed 5 nights) and when the people opened the door realized the room was already booked and went back to front desk. Thankfully people were nice and nothing was taken.
“not impressed”
We have stayed here a few times and each time it gets worst. We will be looking for some place else to stay. The up side is they have a great breakfast that saves you time and money from going elsewhere and the rooms are big. If they would improve the maintenance we would like to continue staying there!
“Decent hotel for the price, skip the free breakfast though.”
The hotel itself is good for the price. Older facility but well maintained. The room was good sized. Had a separate living room type area. Mini fridge and microwave is a plus. The bathtub/shower looked like it had seen better days, clean but worn. Wallpaper peeling in the corner but still clean looking. Newer beds, comfortable. The so called "free breakfast" was a lot to be desired. Some stale looking donuts and day old bread. You're better off going across the street to the Dennys. The property is centrally located right off Harbor. No resort fees. Free parking. Right down the street from Disneyland. Near a Target, restaurants and shopping.
“Upset Idahoan”
Not to many thinks worked. Over half the outlets did not work, no working ice machine, the hide a bed was broke. There was mold on a wall located by a window.
“Great customer service!”
This hotel made our stay a pleasant one. Anything we needed was provided right away and the woman at the front desk was more than helpful at check in. This paved our way to a great vacation and we would certainly stay here again.
“Not Impressed”
The sheets had stains on them, wall paper was peeling and the area which was peeling was crawling with small bugs, the water in shower dripped constantly and not just an occasional drip....When we spoke to the front desk, they switched rooms for us so the second night it was better-.no bugs. The hotel was remodeling some rooms on second floor...the entire hotel is in need of remodeling and better management. The cleaning people took dirty towels and didn't replace them. For three of us, they only supplied us with one washrag and the last day, they didn't even replace that one when they cleaned the room and took it. When they cleaned, they soaked the toilet paper roll....not sure how they accomplished that. When the people above us walked, the floor squeaked badly even. We would not stay in this hotel again even though the front desk staff were pleasant and it was only a few minute bus ride to Disneyland. I'm sure that is the only reason this hotel survives with such poor management.
“Alot of places to eat nearby”
Stayed 4 nights, day one after checking into my room...no microwave or tv remote. Took 3 calls before they delivered. Day 2, coffee maker did not work, so I got coffee from the breakfast room, alittle inconvienent. Took 2 calls to get a new coffee maker. Other than those issues, the rest of the stay was nice. Quiet location, near many places to eat, 20 minute walk to Disneyland, or take the shuttle which stops right in front.
