We liked how large the rooms were. Everything was fully stocked which was nice. The kitchen knives were terribly dull which was annoying but not the end of the world. The only pan in the apartment was an old nonstick pan which was all scratched and flaking off which is toxic so we had to make everything in a pot. The pool was continuously dirty and foggy, we decided not to use it because it was so dirty. All in all, it was a nice stay and we appreciated having all the amenities of home while on vacation.

You should Consider making Televisions available in the Bedroom instead of just the Living room; as most people have TV’s in their bedrooms at home. Also, there are a lot of people who are not as Savvy with the Chrome-Casting, or who may not have streaming Apps to Cast (mostly Seniors perhaps, but they should be considered too).

I recently stayed at Sonder at 1500 Canal and had a fantastic experience. The hotel was impeccably clean, providing a comfortable, spacious and peaceful environment throughout my stay. The location was convenient, and despite being in the heart of the city, it offered a quiet retreat. The staff were attentive and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. This was a great stay. The only downside was that the air didn’t work, so the apartment was quite stuffy. Other than that, we really enjoyed the place and would stay again.

This was a spacious, clean space with a useful kitchen close to easy bus, trolley or Uber pick ups. Bed was comfy and it was super quiet so we could sleep. Easy walking to French Quarter.

I had never stayed in a Sonder before but the experience was great. Once I downloaded their app everything I needed was there. I did have to contact them when I first arrive to say the lamp in one of the rooms was not working and they quickly replaced it with another one. I would stay in a Sonder again. Great for a girls trip or family as it has a stove, microwave, refrigerator, cooking, and eating utensils.

We were there for 4 nights and it was a great location. It was walkable to everywhere we needed to go, right by the streetcars also. we were in the middle of everything, yet far from the noisy area.

When we first got to our Sonder, it was open and clean. They charge for early check in and to hold bags until your room is open, but both are convenient options. First night was great, however, when we woke up my son was bitten up by bedbugs from sleeping on the pull out sofa! There were no signs of bedbugs when we first arrived so whether they are from another room or the last visitor, who knows. We were moved to a new roomed. The next room seemed to be the room where broken equipment were stored. The full fridge was broken (we had already bought groceries the night before) and there was only a mini fridge with a broken door. The ac does not work in the living room/bathroom/ hallways, when you would walk in it would be tangibly hot. The pull out sofa that my son was supposed to sleep on was broken, which since the ac was not working efficiently, we were not gonna make him sleep out there anyways. The cabinets were broken as well. When we reported these issues, we were told no other rooms were available. I wish we cut our losses and left. A couple nights later, I was laying on the couch and lo and behold, I was bitten a couple times. The refund was only $135 (nowhere close what we paid) which at this point I’m more concerned about bringing home bed bugs than the money. The rooms we stayed in were 817 and 1002 for those who still may book here, would hate with someone with children, or anyone else for that matter, to experience this like we did :(

The cover picture used on Expedia using not a picture of this Sonder. The picture is misleading because it looks like it’s in a nice nice quiet neighborhood when it’s actually downtown in the busy, dirty area.

We had cockroaches in kitchen cabinet. There was a leak of dripping water behind the bedroom closet wall. Could not use tub because the tub stopper did not stay down to fill tub. Fan would not stop running in bedroom with King bed. Wifi did not work so staff had to use the Staff wifi ID and password. Promised sofabed did not exist, when asked for linen - not done correctly 3 times (comforter for warmth missing).The Unit was clean (except for roaches).

Close to the French quarter, but far away enough to be quiet. It was good to have a kitchen and washer and dryer. But the amenities otherwise were sparse and the only supermarkets nearby where I could buy detergent for the washing machine and all that I needed to cook were a long walk away--nothing close was adequate. The heat control on the shower also kept moving by itself to hotter temperatures, so one had to keep adjusting it while trying to take a shower. Finally, I texted two messages (to get the wifi password and also to find out what to do with trash--neither was included in the instructions I received), sent the texts to the same number that sent me texts, and got no replies. I had to call and wait for help with one, and the people at the Jung Hotel had to tell me the other information.

The place was spacious and well-kept. Note the table lamp in the room with the 2 queen beds keeps flickering and the toilet to that room seems to have some trouble flushing. I also had to call to get extra shampoos and coffee, but they were sent within 2 hours. But those were minor things. Overall, we were very comfortable and happy with the place. Even though it was on the 13th floor, the evenings can get loud, but I think it's just that partying in New Orleans spills over even into non-partying areas.

The Jung hotel, rented through Sonder, was very nice. Well furnished with just about everything you need. Only downside was the dishwasher did not seem to be working and we had no laundry detergent. Calling Sonder for laundry detergent got us a fairly quick delivery of extra dishwasher detergent it seemed. Otherwise gteat experience.

A Differet - Not Necessarily Better - Way to Stay
First of all the property itself is upscale. The Sonder apartments are located within the Jung Hotel building (a fact that they need to actually state in the instructions for check-in). My poor taxi driver wanted to stay to make sure we were in the right place, and the instructions NAMING the jung would've helped. Despite the upscale property, there were cracks on the floors, and the kitchen supplies were cheap amazon purchases. Next, everything is biometrically coded. We were able to hand it fine, but I can imagine older people struggling. We did in fact see older people struggle with the elevator. The Chromecast TV was just pure inconvenience, and someone had to come in to figure out we were connected to different wifi networks both named Sonder. The pool is the size of two bath tubs put together. All in all, mediocre. Would've loved an actual hotel staff and card keys rather than the techy stuff.
