We wanted to watch the Super Bowl and asked for an early check in. The manager went out of his way and way beyond our expectations to accommodate us. The place was great for our first day of a long plane trip and exactly what we needed!

A lovely welcome from the host. Room ok, bed comfy, everything spotlessly clean. But location just a bit urban, traffic noise and no view Ideal for plane spotters as under the flight path!

Friendly staff. Close to beach. Motel unit veryvtired. No plug for bathroom sink so couldnt wash my face properly. Heater in bathroom didnt work. Kack of plugs and no tissues to wipe your nose. Basic needs i would have expected.

Hi Margaret, the plug was in the top drawer of the vanity. The bathroom heater does work. The green button on the wall needed to be pressed in. Each unit is controlled by its own switchboard and RCD and further each electrical item in wet areas such as bathroom heaters and spa baths have seperate RCD switches. This is to ensure guest safety. I am unsure what you were looking for. Nelson does have 5 star motels but unfortunately there is a price differential. We only ever use 3.5 star to promote the property but take pride in the cleaning standard of rooms and how we try to look after our guests. As is allways the case any feeedback is appreciated. Great place to stay. Handy to walking track. Great takeaway, coffee next door. Rooms clean and tidy with comfy bed. Owner very helpful and friendly. Abel tasman shuttle pick up from motel and double decker bus to town every 20m out the back door.

We booked a room with a spa tub but the manager switched us out for a room without one (even though one was available) because he said it was more expensive to clean a room with a spa tub and he didn’t want to loose money. We asked him to honour the terms of the booking and give us a spa tub room, which he did, but only after he complained a bunch and made us feel really bad. Overall the hotel was old and dated.

Four of us stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, which was perfectly clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. David was very helpful with information about the local area. Great location for beach walks or city access. Free laundry facilities, small pool and outdoor seating area. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
