This hotel has one of the best spa facilities, wonderful water jets, showers, hot whirlpools, jacuzzi and cold dip. Sky lounge has spectacular views

We had a fantastic stay at Fleur de Chine. This is an exceptional hotel on all fronts. We were fortunate to be upgraded to a suite with Tatami room and incredible views across Sun Moon Lake from our terrace. Our kids had a blast in the pools and with the many activities. The location right on Sun Moon Lake allowed for some great walks around the lake and hikes through the surrounding forest. The staff were also incredible from check in to check out and always took the time to prioritize guests. We needed directions to a trail from a staff member and he stopped what he was doing and took us on a 10 minute walk around the hotel exterior, taking the time to explain all about the area and hotel history. We also appreciated the all-inclusive format for meals and in room snacks and the buffet was amazing in both quality and selection. We will definitely stay again.

Five Star Experience with Exceptional Staff
Fleur de Chine was an unforgettable experience that exceeded all our expectations. The food, amenities, and views were all exceptional, but what really made our stay special was the care and support of the staff. In particular, Ryan Lee and his team went above and beyond to ensure my wife had an amazing birthday surprise. Ryan coordinated to have a cake, wine, balloons, a light-up happy birthday sign, and slideshow with pictures of friends and family on the TV in our room when we arrived. In planning the surprise, Ryan was kind and professional in our email correspondence. He organized the photos I sent him and was always prompt and courteous in his replies. He executed the plan perfectly and my wife was elated when we checked into our room, having no idea Ryan and his team were working hard to help celebrate her birthday. Fleur de Chine provided us with a five star experience. Ryan and his team deserve special credit for their work, but everyone we interacted with from the attendants at the pool and hot springs to the service members at the buffet always greeted us with a smile and genuine kindness. We will be recommending Fleur de Chine to anyone who goes to Sun Moon Lake, as we are already dreaming of the next time we can go back.

The view is great from every corner of the building. The swimming pool is not so impressive. Don't like the rule that you have to swear a cap to use the spa and pool.

Amazing lake view rooms. Enjoyed the hot springs each day. Lovely complimentary Happy Hour with cocktails and afternoon tea services @ Ciao. Served extensive brunch buffet 7a - 12 n unlimited seatings and dinner buffet with 2 seating times available. Taiwanese, Cantonese and Japanese foods available. Bus stop just at property curb for easy access to Sun Moon Lake stops along the lake.

Wow! The Fleur de Chine was probably one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed at. It boasts the most insane views of Sun Moon Lake from each floor as well as the lobby, the staff/service are impeccable, and most of all, it is SO kid friendly. There is an entire play area on the first floor for children as well as a water park that as hot tubs, spa jets, and sauna for adults but also a fun water slide and ball pit for kids. The breakfast and dinner buffet are also delicious and has such a huge variety. We can’t wait to come back again some day!!!

The view was spectacular. Very nice facilities, especially love the onsen and buffet dinner and breakfast. The hotel also offer a ride to the bullet train station when we checked out which was very convenient. Highly recommend

The room service is excellent. The temperature is comfortable. The buffet are amazing and sumptuous, my wife wish they have peanut butter selection in the breakfast. Staying in this hotel requires one to make careful planning if you want to visit downtown/ nine aboriginals cultural center as the last bus depart around 19:00.

Exceptional property! Wow! We were traveling from Canada with two kids. Coming from the Mandarin Oriental in Taipei, I imagined that would be hard to beat. FDC was even better! The buffets are extensive with options for any taste including a kids ice cream bar. The indoor “waterworld” is a series of hot, medium and cold pools with funky bubble seats and even a water slide and tiny ball pit for kids (bring a bathing cap if you don’t want to purchase one). It’s great that pool is indoors because that area rains a lot. There is nightly singing entertainment, which my kids enjoyed. There is also a great indoor kids space with slide, ball pit, indoor rock wall (all free). The A/C in our room wasn’t working so they kindly moved us to another room which was Japanese style suite. The extra 3 sleeping mattresses lower to the floor were convenient for the kids. Overall I highly recommend FDC, their website does not do justice to the facilities and service experience.

The classy, elegant and clean environment was amazing. The view at the wing facing the road leaves more to be desired as there were cars and construction below the hills. I made the mistake of not locking in the price at time of booking and was made to pay at least half the price more on the spot. Service was impeccable. Food selection at breakfast and dinner was great. Even the pillow choices astounded me. Overall impressed but was at a premium price.

I loved my stay at Fleur de Chine in a Deluxe Suite and am already planning a return trip!! PRO's: - Stunning views of Sun Moon Lake - Extremely clean - Outstanding service that is both polished and warm - Impeccable, beautiful room and bathroom - Hot spring in your own bathroom - Right on the lake, with a walking path all around the lake that is accessible right next to the hotel - Great buffet for dinner and breakfast (For vegetarians, let them know ahead of time and they will also provide an additional meal set for dinner on top of the buffet offerings) - Fantastic and proactive communication from the hotel prior to the arrival date - Free bus transfer from the high speed rail station to the hotel, with check-in done right on the bus (brilliant!) - Daily fun activities offered by the hotel at no charge - Care and attention to detail was apparent throughout the entire hotel CON's: - None except that it's on the pricey side I highly recommend taking a trip to Sun Moon Lake and staying at Fleur to Chine. You will be well taken care of, and will emerge refreshed and revived from this beautiful setting!More

with the price, i think the staff are not trained well enough... they have no idea what is around the area and the transportation is ridiculous.... the whole hotel is crowded by tour bus. Friendly but disappointing
Friendly helpful staff with attention to the details. As our stay did include breakfast and dinner buffet, I’ve been a bit disappointed. Perhaps to the full booking of the hotel from 30.12.-01.01. (Room 729), the dinner and breakfast experience wasn’t that nice. Especially when you stay at a 51star hotel and receive a 2-3 star experience. Tables were not prepared with salt&pepper grinders no nicely made up. It was like a mass handling of people with deduction of quality and customer experience. I feel like getting ripped off with an overpriced stay! On all other times I can recommend that place, but not on peak periods. A hotel shall always stay up and above the standard, which they definitely didn’t even get close to it.

Weekend of Mix-Ups
Overall, the facilities were good and the location was wonderful. Unfortunately, there seems to be issues with their internal communication. Despite calling a few days earlier to sort out appointment times to use the various facilities (since we were a large group), there still ended up mixups/miscommunication regarding pool availability (ie initially told they couldn’t accommodate most of us at the pool during checkin) and dinner seating (ie not enough for the entire group). Thankfully these were all sorted out eventually. But it’s unfortunate that these were issues as we were assured they’d be taken care of on the phone. There were also other mixups with our group re: reserved room types being unavailable (they had reserved two beds but only rooms with one bed was available upon their check-in). They ended up having to pay for an upgraded room. These are only a few examples. All I can say is that we had a wonderful trip but I’m doubtful I’d go back…especially at this price point.
