“will return”
Hotel was convenient to beach and Broadway. Room was very clean and service was great. Room was cleaned and linen changed daily.
“The worst hitel experience EVER!”
When I arrived, they list my reservation numbers so i was on the phone expedia a hour figuring things out. Also down there, there was a nearby fire so the entire smelled like smoke for the fist night. The sheets weren't clean, nit enough towels, and the hot water heater broke so no hot showers. Broken lamps and other broken things in the hotel room. Horrible place to be.
“poor service”
no hot water, request a transfer no luck.
“Will never stay again”
Don't be fooled by the name "Days Inn on the Beach" It is no where near the beach. The condition of the hotel is deplorable. The room was dank and musty, the carpets were damp and the room smelled like mold. Elevators worked about half the time, no ice machine on our floor had to go to another floor where a sign informed us that if the ice machine isn't working come to the front desk. No vending machines, the one we found in the lobby was almost empty and only had snacks not drinks. The worst part was day two when I woke up to take a shower and found that there was no hot water. I had to get to a meeting so I suffered thru a freezing shower. When I called the front desk, (they finally answered on the 11th or 12th ring) I was informed that they were aware of the problem and someone was coming to fix it. I was out at meetings all day and didn't return until after midnight. I expected that the hot water problem would be resolved, but it was not. Found out from other guests that the hot water heater had blown up and the part would not arrive until Thursday and it was only Tuesday. I would have expected the management to inform their guests of the situation, either leaving a note on the door or calling our cell phones to let us know, but they did not. When I checked out I was told that they would offer a 10% discount to guests for the inconvenience of having no hot water. The only saving grace was that Expedia was very helpful on the phone regarding our 10% refund.
“Good value Would stay there again!”
Hotel was clean and staff friendly. Continental breakfast served even though we did not expect. Food was Ok more variety would have been nice, but I am not going to complain. Location was great across from Outlets. Rooms were very noise proof.
“"Nasty and Old"”
This hotel looks nice online and outside, but when you get inside it is very old the walls are old and carpets stained. The rooms smell like mildew and the hallways. The bathroom was dirty looking, and whoever cleaned our room didn't change our sheets just fixed them and I know for a fact because I got makeup on one of the sheets and they didn't change it. The pool had bugs in it. This hotel charges way to much for these dirty rooms. They had to switch my room which was smelly, but the next room was the same and I couldn't get a refund. WILL NOT GO THERE AGAIN.
“Disgusting”
I was very disappointed with this hotel! This hotel should not have a rating! there were so many things wrong, In the fitness room nothing worked! the ice machine did not work on our floor, then they all broke down. The computer was very slow and there was only one computer. The carpet was so dirty I was afraid to walk barefoot. There was no iron in our room, I had to request a iron. They did not dump our trash on a daily basis, I had to ask for trash bags. The elevator was not working properly made a lot of noise and closed very quickly upon getting into the elevator. The only positive thing I have to say is that the staff was friendly and the Beach was close. I would strongly suggest they close down until they can accommodate quest with all the amenties that a hotel should have. The hotel has good potential!
“Not Impressed”
The ceiling in our bathroom was falling down. We had them clean our room, but the sheets were not changed the entire time we were there (8 days); they just made the bed. They didn't really "clean" the room because there was mold on the shower curtain. The paint job was a mess (paint on trim, doors, and elevator) and was not done with neatness. The pool was nice, but they did not clean or spray off the pool area or patio furniture, did not pick up trash from ground, or empty the garbages the entire week. We, along with many others, had trouble with our room keys. We had to get our keys recoded several times while there.
“Best for the price”
Although the Days Inn was not the classiest or most modern hotel I've ever been to, being a 19 year-old college student wanting to go on a cheap vacation, it was great. It was a couple miles from the beach, which was kind of annoying to have to pay for parking every day, and otherwise the area was pretty nice. Overall it was a good experience.
“Wait till renovation is done!”
The staff was very friendly, but the hotel was under needed renovation. Sad to say it didn't look like they were working hard to complete the process. Strange especially since this is the season in Myrtle Beach. We opt'd for this hotel because it offered contential breakfast, and once arriving and things were tore up we ask and of course there was no breakfast of any kind being offered... We had just come to stay one night and want a quick breakfast as we had to hurry out the next morning so the fact that they offered no breakfast - but advertised they did, was upsetting to me. Some one should have update the info. online...
