It is peculiar to leave a review, because the night manager who checked me in says they don't take reservations from Hotels.com anymore. Gave me my prepaid room anyway, and apparently the day staff was able to confirm that I belonged there. Very comfortable room, good internet and A/C. No daily maid service. The breakfast is Indian, not western. One reviewer called the neighborhood "slums". If the neighborhood is too slummy for you, what are you doing in India? I liked it, and found a great restaurant, Kolkata Callin' (sp?), right around the corner. Make sure you have the right hotel phone number before you go - I never found a cab or rickshaw driver that knew where the place is located, so they'll need it.
