Brilliant Hotel

Posted 14-Apr-2014
Pros: The friendly staff from the moment you arrive, the view over the sea from the The Edge Water Resturant, the swimming pool.
Cons: The only thing I think they could improve on are the beds, the beds are a great size but the mattress's are a bit on the firm side.
Location: Golf, shopping in Londonderry, sight seeing the Historic City Walls, visiting the nearby famine village, taking the Ferry across to the North.
We had a two night 3 day stay at the hotel, the staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble, I have a mobility disability and the staff at the Spa were happy to assist in whatever way they could, again nothing was too much trouble, I have already recommended the Hotel to a friend and she had me purchase a Gift card for her son's Annivesarry before our stay was complete. I very much hope to visit this Hotel again in the near future hopefully for a bit longer.

Beautiful view

This hotel was recommended to me as excellent spa facility. Well I was there for 2 nights mid. week and no available appointments for any spa treatments ( body massage facial etc.) The sauna and steam bath ware so small for size of hotel and for my whole stay out of order, witch we had to reported on both occasions. Steam bath seats dirty. Water in pool was cold and so many missing Muzak tiles around edges of pool area . Tiles dirty around pool. There wasn't any fridge in room( for 4 star hotel I'll expect to have one)

Nice hotel with pleasant walks.

Pros: The relaxed atmosphere and attitude of the staff made for a very relaxing stay.
Cons: The room was spotless. the bed linen and towels immaculate but I felt the furniture needed a rub down and a bit of a varnish. It looked tired.
Location: It is close to Derry city which is well worth a visit. Kealeys seafood restaurant in Green castle had top notch food and wine at a fabulous price.
The staff at the Red Castle Hotel are very friendly but efficient and professional. The wedding we attended was extremely well catered for, food, service and event room could not be faulted.

Pretty nice place on the water

If you're into golf, this may be a great place. We were just passing through. The room was pleasant, the location was a bit away from any town. Not sure if it was totally worth the hype and the price but we were comfortable and don't have any complaints.

The staff at the hotel were and are outstanding in everything they do,very helpful in all ways, pleasant and friendly towards people staying at the hotel. The faceilities are outstanding, and the grounds are out of this world. Will definitely hope to stay again at some point, and will reccommend it to freinds

Excellent restaurant

The welcome was very good. The rooms are big, and pleasantly decorated. The hotel is quiet, with any noise from the function room well muted. The beds are big and comfortable. The food in the restaurant is very good indeed - much higher standard then I'm used to getting in smaller hotels. The wine list isn't huge, and it misses a dessert wine. The other omission is malt whiskey which isn't available anywhere in the hotel. The lounge area around the bar is too comfortable, and the Guinness is good - a recipe for a long stay. Staff were unfailingly helpful at all times. There is a small gym but the equipment is up to date and in good condition. We didn't try the pool, but it is geared more towards families with young children. The spa is good according to my wife. Wifi is available free throughout the hotel.

Great chillaxing weekend!

Posted 14-Nov-2012
Pros: Spa and pool
Cons: Heat!
Location: Perfect to relax!
We had a wonderful time at Redcastle. The Spa and Leisure facilities are excellent. The food in the restaurant was amazing, breakfast was amazing. Great having Sky Sports in your room also..The staff were very friendly. The only let down was it was just too hot every where...turn the heat down!
